The Junji Ito homage had a lot of potential, but it didn't really go anywhere. Maybe they were afraid of shocking people, but it's lacking all the horror. No body horror at all, but maybe they're trying to keep paradox space a little less mature then that. But it'd be neater if the ending had more of a twist to it, this one just seemed to end.
Really cool idea, just needs better execution.

i actually think hiveswap might be more of a kids and fun-type adventure like the first half of homestuck
