I think its more of a rival thing. You want to beat the other guy, be better than him, and you hate him. But you wont kill him, as you love that rivalry. And that love of rivalry and hate is what a Kismesissitude.
Like, Ash and Gary from Pokemon would be good kismesis.They hate each other so much, but if they killed each other, there would be a hole in their hearts.

The hate for each other must always be balanced. It must be hateful enough to hate each other, but not as to kill each other.
They must love each other enough to make a respectful and healthy relationship, but not enough for as to become matesprites.
Kismesissitude is a really complicated relationship. Thats why Auspisticism exist to maintain the necessary balance.

I keep hearing this shit about what is right and what is wrong in kissmissitude but as far as I've seen there's nothing backing it up. Spades Slick and Snowball is considered the perfect frame of reference for it, at least according to Hussie, and Snowball stabbed him in the eye. Then he killed her. Doesn't exactly sound healthy to me either.

Vriska controls Clubs Deuce at one point, so yes. Also, she couldn't control humans past causing them to sleep or wake.
Every time I see a dialog with Evil Jane I can't help but feel she's just much better than Normal Jane.
