next mirror is in development.
Concept for new one:

Except bigger and with some other combine stuff on the mirror.

Also can a mod please rename my thread to Murdoco's Mirrors?
Going to finally test out the sandblaster tomorrow. I made a mirror as a gift for my aunt and uncle. I'm done cutting it out just need to sandblast. I hope I don't have the compressor up too high or it could shatter the mirror with pressure alone.
If it works well I'm going to start making a lot more.
you should make a shop that sells Valve Merchandise(if Valve approves)
and then as you get richer you sell them all over the world and open shops at places with a high concentration of steam gamers
almost done with the combine mirror. I should hopefully be done tomorrow. Just need to peel off the contact paper after I cut it out, sandblast, and wax it.
If not tomorrow then then thursday.
Definitely one of the main reasons to browse FP, you stumble across unique individuals and their hobbies that are full of awesome stuff.
I loved the GIR one the most since I'll always be a huge fan of Invader ZIM.

Thank you. I always loved invader zim and Jhonen's other work such as JTHM.
Also I should be finished with my combine mirror tomorrow if my teacher lets me work on it. (we are supposed to watch a stupid movie but ya...)
The portal 2 coop thing looks awesome. Loving the contrast.

Thanks. I was thinking with portals.
Like I said. I finished it today.

-removed some old stuff that was here and never ended up happening-
How big if a mirror can you do and are you taking request?
How big if a mirror can you do and are you taking request?
Well I can do 12"x12" (I think that's the size) I could probably do bigger since my sandblaster is a pretty big size. I'd have to buy a bigger mirror to do it though (Since I have like 5 12"x12" and they are decently cheap..
and possibly..PM me.
Got distracted from my Cthulhu mirror (still working on it..just got distracted)
But in the meantime I did finish up my SUPER MEAT BOY MIRROR:

Live in his Super Meaty Mirrory Goodness.
Comments?
Looks pretty nice. You're quite talented at this.
Thanks. Team Meat wants it. Trying to see what I can do for em.
Also Those smudges and stuff on the bottom are easily cleanable..I just got home when I took that picture..(Same with any tiny scratches, windex works wonders).
How exactly do you make these? Always wanted to do something like this for a set of closet door mirrors, just to make my room look a bit bigger, but still be really interesting.

Contact paper, mirror, sandblaster, exactoknife are the main things you need.
Get a good image or come up with your own and draw it out, cut it out of the contact paper while it's on the mirror, sandblast (The stuff that's still covered in contact paper is left alone and is still mirror. While the rest is turned to dust.)
It basically engraves the image into the mirror.

Hardest part is cutting out the image since you are using a blade to do what a pencil should do.

Genious, thank you! :buddy:
Sending one to my aunt and uncle as a christmas gift. Hope they like it. (They like the new york yankees..sending them a mirror with the logo and some text and stuff)
Wow. I just noticed how long it's been since I posted something..but I just worked on something and finished it.
My friend wanted me to make it. I like how it came out though.

Also I got some more coming in due time but yah. Been busy.
These look awesome. I would personally put up auctions for them on ebay and post about them on forums, deviant art, communities like that, etc.
You'd probably get some good cash for it doing it that way. I know of some more-well-known artists on places like DA doing specialty commissions using unusual materials (such as ink on canvas vs just digital art), and selling such things for hundreds of dollars in auctions. Not saying that's feasable for someone who doesn't have a years-long fanbase, but there's definite interest in doing custom mirrors like this.
I mean, who wouldn't want a cool custom etched mirror done for them?

Thanks. I was thinking of actually tossing the one I just made on ebay.
