So it seems as though you have one of these laying around your home

spiders are predators of other bugs such as flies, worms, centipedes, etc. killing them would cause an increase in popoulation of those insects.

I hate those small little spiders. Tarantulas and Daddy long-legs and Daddy long legs just sit around and are not harmful. Never had anything but daddy long-legs in the Mid-west, USA.

Not those, they're beautiful <3
Doesn't California have a lot of scorpions?
They stay in the desert.
I've only ever seen small common spiders and daddy long legs in my house. I let them live in my room cause they kill all the annoying stuff.
I have a ton of black widows in my garage and backyard though. They aren't scary, but I just don't want to get bitten.
Whole situation reminds me of

The bug on his neck at the end looked like an actual bug, I was like wtf? I had to scroll up and down to see if it was, I sure as hell wasn't touching it.

Fuck fuck fuck this is where huntsman spiders live! :gonk:
Yeah see Michigan there? Fuck yeah.
Spiders can be useful and helpful and friendly fellows too, men! :buddy:
Once I was at our cottage and it has hella lot mosquitos, so there was this spider, it was small but it caught the mosquitos in his web like a boss.
but next morning when I woke up and went looking for the spider again I saw that the web was destroyed and all the hard work was gone :saddowns:
Introduce them to your friends. Mr. Sandal & Mrs. Laserpen.
napalm
Me and a friend stomped a spider and a bunch of babies came squirming out
I fucking hate spiders, but I don't really know why? I've never had any bad experiences with them, but they're just so god damn fucking horrible.

Wasn't there a Facepunch member who loved spiders and had black widows in his shed or something? Crazy bastard
Yes, that's me, but not in my shed. I have a room for all my spider and reptile tanks.
Also, fuck this shit:
I deal with some pretty nasty spiders, but this little fucker takes the cake in looks...
Why did i read this thread while eating.
Yeah see Michigan there? Fuck yeah.
Holy shit, God lives in Michigan too? :buddy:
Oh god, imagine seeing a spider, you pick up your shoe. When it suddenly groes untill it hits the ceiling.
[editline]17th June 2011[/editline]
Shit would hit the fan.
UK has almost no venomous spiders. Move here
Yep, nothing here is scary. The most dangerous animal is an Adder. That's how badass it is.
OP I wouldn't blame you for nuking your house if you saw 3 fucking funnelwebs on your front doorstep. Considering their bite can kill you in hours and they've been known to charge right the fuck at you and bite through your toenails not letting go, they're basically the physical manifestation of satan
:byodood: Abject Horror x 15 (list)
There are these plug-in things you can get to deter spiders. They emit these ultrasonic waves that spiders find unpleasant and so the spiders get out of your house.

The Brown Recluse spider.
To compare the size of this little beast, look at it compared to a penny.

What's so bad about this mother fucker? It has venom that can cause some serious necrosis. It starts out being two little bite marks, and then it slowly eats away at your skin.
Here's an example. This is how it starts:

Then it gets worse:
Yeah see Michigan there? Fuck yeah.
Yay, Wyoming's out too.
One morning I was having my daily shit and when I got up I found a spider drowning in my wastes. It was quite entertaining, until I realised how close I was to a rather unpleasant experience. Needless to say, I am now very paranoid whenever I go to relieve myself ever since that morning.
My dads friend had one of those as a pet.
We were over at his place one time and he placed it on my shoulder when I was watching TV.
I literally froze to ice and couldnt move because of fear and started crying after like 10 seconds as it was crawling up my neck.
