Animal cruelty?
Blending an animal alive is probably considered inhumane, yeah.
This was on your chest?!

Yep that was on my chest :/
Harvestmen (we call them daddy longlegs here) are fucking bros man. I'm currently sharing my bathroom with one. Ever since I let it stay I've had no other bugs in my house, I'd rather have just one harmless insect then 15 different kinds. I consider it a partnership really.
Yeah, they're great for catching flies.

Come to Norway.
You can live at my place, and we can be arachnophobic together.

The Brown Recluse spider.
To compare the size of this little beast, look at it compared to a penny.

What's so bad about this mother fucker? It has venom that can cause some serious necrosis. It starts out being two little bite marks, and then it slowly eats away at your skin.
Here's an example. This is how it starts:

Then it gets worse:

They only attacked when are threatened... but...
I've been bitten by a brown recluse once. They don't do much permanent damage if you get treated soon enough.
I had to go to the ER for two days to be on IV when the bite got worse. I had no idea it was a brown recluse bite and ended up with shitloads of pus pouring out of my arm.
I ended up with a scar on my arm when it healed over.
Love to live in Sweden. No crazy spiders or snakes or anything venomus.
(Perhaphs a viper snake that is somewhat dangerus to humans but its pretty rare.)

I don't have a phobia of spiders, but I saw this one once, and it sent me running. :v:
Last week I had about three recurring nightmares of this spider. Every time I would start dreaming that night, no matter what the scene was (some office in the 60's, an old empty house, on a ship) some 20cm fucker like that was crawling on the walls and jumping at me at high speed. It was impossible to kill it in my dreams so I just had to wake up and fall back asleep.
Australia has bird eating spiders, they are huge, you dont wanna encounter them
Make love to the female Tarantulas! And they shall earn respect for you. BECOME ONE WITH THE ARACHNIDS!
The tarantula's appearance is worse than its bite. Tarantula venom is weaker than that of a honeybee and, though painful, is virtually harmless to humans.

TARANTULAS
Tarantulas don't bother me, they just remind me of a small rodent.
I find spiders interesting and not scary at all. I kept Chilean Rose Tarantulas like this one, and they never hurt anybody. :buddy:

My favourites have to be the Jumping Spiders, they've got big eyes that look up at you. And Camel Spiders might look scary, but those myths about them are just that- myths. Most spiders will never try and bite you unless you provoke it in some way, and even then, they will only resort to their fangs if running away doesn't work.
I've had spider problems in my apartment too. For 2 years i had not seen a single spider, but then one night, dozens pop out of nowhere, crawling across the walls and shit. Must be some pheromone crap or something, organizing the mass exodus. I'm pretty sure there a hidden nests around here too, because i see thousands of extremely tiny spiders all around the place.

The Brown Recluse.
Why are you all so scared of spiders? Spiders are fucking awesome.
I've used professional mortein guarding spray across every single window and crevice in my house, They still find ways in its terrible sometimes i can't sleep at night because of the experiences I've had with these things...
If you spray the perimeter of the house, not only are you keeping the spiders from outside out, you're keeping the ones that are already there in.
OP, you should play Penumbra.
I am playing penumbra: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eAYV-iSFy4

in norway we don't get huge spiders or anything, but daddy long legs and crane flies are fucking annoying little CUNTS!
Daddy long legs is pretty chill, they hang in corners at my place all the time, they never come near me, they know their place.
There was a spider once, who tried to touch my keyboard, it got squashed, hard.
Late reply but on the drop bear post...

:v:
Also, op, Burn. EVERYTHING.
I'm not entirely sure, but I think we are scared of spiders because our genes are actually really oldschool.
I mean, long time ago people had reason to be scared of poisonous spiders, and they were scared of them I'm sure, but now we still got the same genes but we are way too advanced so..
something like that. in a couple of (thousands of) years we won't even blink I guess.

I have a nest under my bed. They're p. chill and keep my room insect free, plus they're smart enough to stay the fuck away from the colossus they live with.

here in Ontario we get these big ass spiders near the lakes, they hide under docks and eat fish. A fucking spider that eats fish. One time i was going out on my friends boat, and as we were untying the ropes, I was walking around to the other side of the dock, and one of these spiders ran up through the crack in the wood, I nope.avi'd and walked back around
I'm so sorry
I'm pretty sure if a person was to actually drink that, they would at the least probably start choking up. The hairs on tarantulas are defense mechanisms. If an animal starts chowing on them, the hairs are released and are prickly and I believe a little sticky. They cause irritation and choking. That's why I don't like tarantulas. I wouldn't want to hold one and end up wiping my face or something, not thinking, and end up with their hairs on me.
