If anyones interested, my guitar teachers band will have their video playing on video hits (australian music show) tomorrow.
Just been looking at some Rickenbackers.
Although the 325 is still my favourite, the 620 stood out to me, as it's actually affordable (£1300, as opposed to the £3300 325).

I can't decide what I think of it.
Jesus christ I want that guitar
They are self distributed like a lot of smaller companies do. If that alone is enough to put you off then fair enough, they don't need to the business of a brainwashed elitist tool.
There's being "elitist" and there's not being a moron.
Let's say I was considering a few guitars, because I am- two six strings (an Eclipse II and a Les Paul Studio) and three seven strings (Horizon NT-7, Interceptor Pro 727, local yokel custom job.) Of these, I can actually go demo three, right now if I felt like it. Of the two I can't, only one I know won't suck.
Gee, real hard to pick one to eliminate from the list, eh?
I keep writing music and as a result, my enthusiasm for guitar has waned. I don't like the music I like. I don't think anyone likes the music they like when they first start writing but I've been writing for a while now, and I still don't.
I think one of the problems is I only have a guitar, but I want to experiment with synth effects and the like and my lack of a keyboard is not letting me.
Writing music is more fun with if you're doing it with other people.

ESP Eclipse II will rape a Les Paul Studio, ESP Horizon NT-7 will demolish an Agile, and unless the local luthier is superb, then it'll fuck up the custom too. 7>6, decision made.
If you'd laid out your options and your price range then maybe people wouldn't have recommended a guitar that was a third of the price of the other option you were looking at. But maybe that's just wishful thinking :v:
Here we go this is my bass, its huge compared to me.

Pretty nice actually, what type of bass is it?
I have one of those jumbo acoustic ones... can be a bit hard to play

Its acoustic, electric. Its huge compared to me.
Thinking about putting a Bigsby B7 on my Casino when I have the money, which might be sometime after my exams are finished.
Never seen this design before.

zing!
I meant the graphic.
Serious.
What I have never understood was, why not put decent amp electronics inside a guitar?
It's nice to see a flag finish that isn't the fucking rebel flag
What I have never understood was, why not put decent amp electronics inside a guitar?
Weight issues mainly. You ever tried lifting a decent amp? Imagine having that strapped around your neck. Micing for gigs would also be nightmarish
ah, I see.
Although having a 3-band EQ is fairly common in basses, and you can get effects like OD put into the guitar itself, which would be a rough approximation of having an amp head in your guitar
I found the guitar of my dreams! Epiphone Les Paul "Black Beauty" Deluxe.
Only 650 bux oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god!
I don't dream big, these are my two dream guitars.

Also the acoustics would suffer.

Fair enough, Gibson flying V is great.
SG is meh, got bored of it's design.

Rather have a Dean? :v:
Much as I like the SG aesthetically, the fact that it's a really bad design for a guitar upsets me :saddowns:
Gibson Vs bug me for some reason.
Maybe I'm just more accustomed to them as a metal guitar, so the Gibs' rounded edges put me off
Only $600 :<

I kinda want a Stiletto for my next bass, or some sort of fretless
Never seen this design before.

Too bad it has a disgustingly bad shape

Why do you say the Eclipse is better than the Les Paul Studio?
And I don't know that I'd like a 6 or 7 more yet, that's part of why I wanted to try 'em firsthand. For all I know I'd like the 81/60 EMGs' sound more than the 707s'.
Hell, I don't know that I wouldn't still want the Interceptor if there's odds I could resell it if I thought it sucked.

I don't really have a price range so much as I'm willing to spend whatever I need to. If it's cheap, whoo, if not, que sera sera.
The Eric Clapton show yesterday was fucking badass.
