Made some improvised while recording melody! (It is quite sad)
Don't mind mistakes or little tiks and toks there, improvised!

Have an artistic.
Does anyone have the Peavy Vypyr? Particularity the 30watt model?
If so, tell me what it's like, and if you recommend it.
I'm thinking of buying it.
Yes, and yes.
It's great as you can test and play with stomp boxes you wouldn't buy.

Fuzz, XXX and Pitch Shifter combined = holy shit.
So I just got the beast of a 1x12 Orange cabinet today.
The rumors are true, the bass on this thing is so god damn deep man. I wish I had a bit more gain but fucking hell man the sound on this Dual terror straight through an orange cab. It's meant to be like this.
As for gain for that little extra boost I was thinking if you guys could give some assistance.
Hardwire Tube Overdrive:
or
MXR Boost:
I've heard great things about the Tube Overdrive, I just can't decide!
I got the mxr10 band eq which I use to boost my gain because I also lacked gain/distortion, mxr is great quality but I don't know if it would be enough for your needs! I would say take the hardwire tube overdrive, more uses and probably more fun in the future
Does anyone have any experience with Kramer guitars?

I support what this guy said because I felt the same.
Er, my fretting hands loves to tense up when I'm recording myself playing. Not so much an issue as a few months ago, but still affects me. I need to get some live gigs or something, it'd smack some apathy into me.

Just cut out the left side of that photo and you'd have a great, flawless setup

Both my guitarists in my band have one  one haves the white and the other one the blue! We play groove metal with flamenco and spanish influences.
FFF the K-7s too goddamnit
No point me buying one though, my 7620 shreds :smug:
Also that sounds awesome, I love flamenco and spanish guitar, I played that stuff for 6 or so years before I got an electric...

I love my guitarists, they actually manage to get out their flamenco and spanish influence emotionally not just like it was written down or after strict rules! And added with groove metal it's just to damn jumpy and awesome.

The RC7 is a pretty good guitar, too.
Even though rusty cooley is a douchefag.
Does anyone notice anything wrong in this 4-bar Meshuggah-style drum pattern?

It's just a polyrhythm, sounds like it's from Beneath.
It's a polymeter, the cymbal + snare are basically playing in 3/4 time signature and the bass drum is in 5/4. What makes it interesting is that the cymbals + snare are dotted 8th notes( listen to I, 3/4 and 4/4 polyrhythm starting from 5:40 ) while the bassdrum plays normal 16th notes.
The whole thing is notated as 4 15/16 bars, but what's really interesting imo is that it sounds really natural/normal, like normal 4/4.

I just reinvented triplets :suicide:
Are there any good drill books/DVDs/whatever you guys would recommend for getting better at shit like speed picking/arps/sweep picking/etc.?
I don't mean like Hal Leonard's Guitar for Assholes: Advanced or some nonsense. When I played brass in college there were random books you could get full of just complicated bullshit in random keys and styles, that's what I'm looking for. Something hard to chew on.
Rock Discipline and Speed Kills. Rock Discipline has a ton of exercises that make you do uncomfortable things. I think Frank Gamble has a lot of books about techniques. You probably wouldn't like Speed Kills as much because it has a smaller set of exercises that are more commonly found. If you're looking for a certain technique to get better at you may want to look into specific books, there is a book about tapping I have and it goes way more in depth with exercises than anything else. I get the feeling with a lot of the all around instructional books/videos that introduce techniques like sweep picking is more of an exposure to that technique and you can't really master it from the few exercises you are given that deal with the technique.
Seriously guys, I think I fall more and more in love with my amp everyday

i think your tremolo needs adjusting
mine was like that when i first put my 10s on, i didn't know you needed to adjust the tremolo
turns out it's as easy as turning 2 screws a bit
