Don't go trying Iron Maiden straight away, you will quit. I went for Sabaton, so easy it was unbelievable :v: Go cheap, but not too cheap on equipment. Upgrade when you feel the need. I've been playing since February of this year, and my £60 bass has Seymour Duncans, and I changed my amp from 20W to a new 80W
hmm going to have to save up then, going to take a while as i only have JSA, most of which goes to paying bills
My friend bought a Dean MAB1. He let me have a go on it and i must say Im officially envious of him :saddowns: [editline]11:50PM[/editline] It looks something like this

I've only ever had terrible experiences with imported Deans.

I think this is the dumbest signature guitar I have ever seen. Not surprised considering it is from Bullet From my Valentine guitarist.
lololol look at the inlays that's the more generic thing I've ever seen This is why I don't like Vs lol
I hate to say it because I quite like BFMV but that signature looks pretty lame...
I think it looks kickin'! Except for the pistol on the fretboard. Though, one gotta love the swirly thing!

:rimshot: On topic: What's the best way to get rid of scratches on my humbucker covers?
Buy new covers
Polish them.

That does look intriguing

right any recommendations on a UK website to get a bass guitar for a complete beginner ?
right any recommendations on a UK website to get a bass guitar for a complete beginner ?
Said it before, and again. Go to thomann.de You can get a bass for £70. Brand new, good quality. They ship everything carefully, and since I live on an offshore island and the bass, and 2 different amps that I have ordered came without a scratch on them. Great customer service too.

Gonna get this one sometime around
Hot dayum. That is what I call a guitar, just kidding I call that a flute. But seriously that thing is beautiful.
Any recommendations on cheapish first electric guitars? I've been playing for a while on my old acoustic but I'm thinking of kickin' it up a notch. The Farida FE-3 looks like a pretty good choice but I dunno, any ideas? :h: Also, the FE-3 in an unattractive whitey pink colour :
:smug: You wouldn't know about it if I hadn't shown you.
Your point being?
Put my new Ernie Ball strings on today, didn't have to do any movement with my truss rod either which is a plus. I can't believe how beautiful my guitar sounds with these strings.

Ernie Ball are the best.
Get a squier
You can never go wrong with a squier strat as your first guitar.
