Rotosound
Elixir
2 votes Elixir.
D'Addario
Well, depending on context, but yeah. That.
Ernie Ball are the best.
I used Ernie Balls. Then I found Cleartones.
I use Skulls.
You can never go wrong with a squier strat as your first guitar.
Agreed. Get this one. I say Rotosound because I'm gonna get some Steve Harris Rotosound strings when I get my new bass.
Never heard of Rotosound [editline]06:49AM[/editline] Or Cleartones for that matter
I think strat beginner guitar's suck, they sound horrible!
I use dean martins
He could always get a Jackson starter or Epiphone, depending on his style.
I started with a Squier Fat Strat, great to start with just because of how versatile they are. If you could find a used made-in-Mexico Fat Strat that would be pretty much an amazing first guitar for a good price.
2 votes Elixir.
3 votes, swapped all my strings for Elixirs last night and they are beautiful to play with.
I really want a new guitar or amp, but I've only been playing for a year and a half or so :(
What guitar/amp do you currently have, and how long have you had em or are they your first ones?
Amplifier Here! Get this.
I use Ernie Balls on my electric and Elixers on my accoustic.
What guitar/amp do you currently have, and how long have you had em or are they your first ones?
Playing on a 6 year old second hand Epiphone SG through a Blackstar HT5-C.
I really want a new guitar or amp, but I've only been playing for a year and a half or so :(
I think the best amp for its price is the Peavey Vypyr if you're into rock/metal sorts of things, if not a Vox vt30 would be great
I am having a new mix, sounds way better than before (changed the drums and the guitar tone) Don't mind the tempo sync mistakes because the drums were played on pc keyboard ;) without an metronom Compare : New mix : http://soundcloud.com/dekay-snug/new-mix Old mix : http://soundcloud.com/dekay-snug/untitled-little-instrumental No bass guitar in both tracks.

Also, give us a budget cap, and some sites to poke around in. Since, y'know, most of us aren't from Australia, and many stores don't have locations in Australia.
my fingers are full of fuck holy fuck that was sloppy
my fingers are full of fuck holy fuck that was sloppy
THAT BASS lT IS EVERYWHERE
OK good wattage for an amp that one can compare to drums..it has to be a combo...Lot of options for sounds, I play rock'n'roll mostly. and i have a budget of 250 bucks.
Fender Mustang amp. Sounds bitchin, you can get a decent sized one for less than that I reckon.
http://www.blackstaramps.co.uk/products/ht-amps/ht-40.html They are cheaper than orange atleast
I was looking at the fender mustang, Its prolly a great amp, but i dont like the styling of it. As for the blackstartamp they were cool, but i guess they dont sell them at retailers?
Blackstars have some distributors in the States and you should be able to find the retailers on the internet. If they're out of your range try looking at a Bugera, something like a V22 would probably suit you pretty well
