I don't really like hollow bodies that much
getting my wings aw yeah
I'm so tempted to try this one out and see how more heavier stuff sounds on it.
I don't really like hollow bodies that much
Me either. Because of my Strat I tend to lean on the guitar a bit while sitting down, and when I do this with a hollow body I lean on the edge and it hurts. Obviously I'd get around this if I bought one and played it a decent bit.
Take what your class is teaching you and try to turn it into something substantial. Just dick around and learn the neck like the back of your hand.
I've tried to duplicate piano notes I've learned at school (I wish I would've continued, stupid school administration made the piano room a teacher's office and the piano is too old to move)
I thought you didn't like ERGs.
The hell is an erg? Scale Baritone Guitar, like this:

For some reason that guitar screams The Jetsons to me
I cant get past the fact that danelectros use plywood for the bodies :saddowns:

Make one of these, but 6 string
I thought you didn't like ERGs.
Same [editline]08:01AM[/editline] Also what the fuck is up with danelectro and fugly guitar shapes? [editline]08:02AM[/editline]
I'm so tempted to try this one out and see how more heavier stuff sounds on it.
Probably just not very heavy, those pickups probably don't have a lot of gain Also the attack would suck because of hollowbody
I'm so tempted to try this one out and see how more heavier stuff sounds on it. [img_thumb]http://images6.thomann.de/pics/bdb/233311/1699089_800.jpg[/img_thumb]
Heavy sounds? What? That guitar would be jazzy/bluesy as fuck and it would be awesome.
I'm so tempted to try this one out and see how more heavier stuff sounds on it.
Whose signature is that...? Also Hypno never said anything against ERG's. He's stated his dislike for 7-strings, not baritones.
I cant get past the fact that danelectros use plywood for the bodies :saddowns:
It is a shame but I guess that is their style. Atleast they are cheap [editline]08:16PM[/editline]
Also what the fuck is up with danelectro and fugly guitar shapes?
it's not fugly it's just misunderstood :colbert:
I feel ashamed asking this but why isn't there more electric remakes of more classical instruments?(e.g. violin)
you mean like this? :colbert:
I feel ashamed asking this but why isn't there more electric remakes of more classical instruments?(e.g. violin)
Electric Cello. Electric upright Bass. I am sure there are more classical instruments remade to electric instruments, but these were the fastest examples I could find.
I feel ashamed asking this but why isn't there more electric remakes of more classical instruments?(e.g. violin)
Electric violins exist As do cellos and double basses etc The keyboard is basically an electric piano There are electric trumpets The list goes on :)
you mean like this? :colbert:
that's hideous
I'm so tempted to try this one out and see how more heavier stuff sounds on it.
Fucking amazing. I played a Gretsch hollowbody a while back and it was one of the best distorted tones I've ever heard. Hollowbodies are sickeningly underrated for high gain stuff. It's all just down to feedback control, which once you know what you're doing ain't all that hard. [editline]02:19PM[/editline]
I cant get past the fact that danelectros use plywood for the bodies :saddowns:
I really don't see why it matters, there aren't any other guitars which sound like Dano's, and they sound good.
Electric violins exist As do cellos and double basses etc The keyboard is basically an electric piano There are electric trumpets The list goes on :)
alright give me a song that uses an electric violin with distortion.

mynames2long never fails to deliver
I thought you didn't like ERGs.
A baritone isn't an Extended Range Guitar... It's a baritone!
The hell is an erg? Scale Baritone Guitar, like this:
Fuck... GAS!
Need a decent 5 string bass to go with my 4 string since I have a load of gigs coming up that (really) need a 5 string. I've been getting by with drop tuning my 4 string. So far, Since I have a Cort 4 string jazz copy and it plays OK, I think I will get a cort: http://www.thomann.de/gb/cort_action_v_dlx_crs.htm Looks awesome: I don't play metal and most of the budget 5 string basses seem targeted to metal players with pointy headstocks and black finishes, NOT what I want - This one seems to fit my style perfectly. Warwick's are not my thing either. For £235 I don't think I can go wrong. Unless anyone has any gruesome details to share about it?
Looks like a good deal, I say you go for it. Got a guitar myself, don't play it much and I suck.. no pics though :(
Ok guys, deliver me an cool song where guitars are replaced with bass guitars (left and right speaker) with distortion and clean parts :colbert:
Ok guys, deliver me an cool song where guitars are replaced with bass guitars (left and right speaker) with distortion and clean parts :colbert:
I am sure there is a Primus song which meets your requirement, too lazy to search one though. Okay maybe an attempt. Although almost no distortion.
oh hello thar
