As far as I'm aware, not much. Removing the covers usually requires the use of a solder gun to remove 2 bits of solder on the underside of the pickup to remove the cover. Also, take note, if you do go ahead with this BE VERY FUCKING CAREFUL - One wrong move and you'll have a dead/broken pickup. The coil wire is very thin and can easily break. I suggest you use some kind of black tape (I have no idea what specific kind) that they use on regular uncovered pickups.

I've never heard of anyone doing this so I would assume very miniscule to no difference
I really hate the look of uncovered humbuckers - to each his own, though.
does anyone know where i can find an american HSS strat with a floyd rose and double locking system, ive seen videos and things with them but cant find the buggers.
i fancy getting one putting a dimarzio super distortion in the bridge and getting a marshall jmp-800 head.

Well it is too late for pics, my camera dosen't like it dark.
Since my video camera broke, you can't really hear it, but it sounds absolutely awesome, only little cosmetic things are wrong with it.

I mostly play SY's style of music, I'm lucky because I don't use the tone knobs. I guess it wouldn't hurt to have one though. Otherwise I can't wait.

Guys i wanna record some small riffs i have made, and i need a program that accepts a usb input, Any help here or do i need something more than that?

I'm seeing some great prices for electric guitars in my local music store. I can get a Cort guitar and an amp for a little over 300$ It's about 750 Lithuanian litas
To be precise it's a Cort G210 (red metallic color), and I thinking about a Randall RX-15W

Do you have a recording interface?
I have a line out on my amp, but I've picked up on the fact plugging straight into a PC isn't a good idea. What has to be done to make it safe to record straight from amp? I just wanna be able to record some covers and stuff for YouTube.
