Even if they're the same colour, I don't like em, but white on white or cream is alright. Thats what puts me off buying a Fender strat
Yeah, like Ibby super strats

Awesome
If you're an uncultured punk, sure. The bass is only a scrub instrument in certain genres of modern music which are mostly forgettable.
A lot of albums now are very poorly mixed, all you can hear is guitar, vocals, snare and cymbals. I can really only think of one album that's mixed well enough that you can hear everything, and that's Projects In The Jungle by Pantera. This is their early Glam work as well.
[editline]16th October 2010[/editline]
Practice What You Preach by Testament is also pretty well mixed
Too bad the rest of the Ibanez JEM is pure shit. What the fuck is up with that grip in the body.
blame steve vai. I just hold strat/strat style basses bu the top cutaway.
I think it looks good, also it's a comfortable way of holding a guitar
But the neck and fr </3
Seriously, if you don't think that higher priced guitars are higher quality then you're just stupid.
Really, really stupid.
Higher quality maybe, but what's different concretely. Most of the time you wont notice a difference in quality between 750 and 1500 dollar guitars. Especially when we talk about basic guitars such as strato-type guitars, when there are no anything special such as complicated tremolos or locking systems. Materials are most likely almost the same too. Fret finish and potentiometer durability ect should be already excellent at that price range.

Wood quality, hardware quality, QC, competence of labour, time spent on building, time spent on finishing, overall finish quality, outlandish options and better customer service.
There's a few things spending more money will get you. No matter your opinion on "big bad business" or whatever you want to call it, a higher price point dictates generally higher overheads on the company's behalf, which will (90% of the time) translate to a higher actual worth for your guitar.
Don't make assumptions about quality, it's nothing but spreading more bullshit, which the internet is already rife with as it is.
my prized posession and most recent guitar is the ESP M-II (EMGs, bolt-on). That's going into my recordings, I would never risk playing it live. I'm even frightened to play it without washing my hands and if whats under me is not soft ground incase I drop it.
I take my stingray to every gig, It is my main gigging bass. - My only "thing" about it is, it's either in my hands or in the hard case or on the very-secure Hercules tripod stand. Never propped up or laid flat on anything.
Also belt on one loop to the left to prevent scratches.
2.5 years on and it still looks as good as new.

Since this is now a discussion about awesome songs with bass in it.
weird jack placement
Yeah, but I guess it is for standing playing, or strictly right angle plugs if you sit.
Any of you guys know what it's called when you lightly touch your right hand on a string to slowly change it so that you're playing a harmonic without re-picking the string? I saw someone do it in a video, and I have no idea what it's called... If it actually has a proper name, that is.

Tap harmonics. Just tap over the fret an octave above the note you're hitting. Ex: Fingering 9th fret tap over the 21st.

Dat trem...
Something bad happened when I was fucking around with my JS1. I put my pick between the strings on the headstock, and the E string popped out.
What was even worse is that I pulled it back in with ease.
Even better, it was perfectly in tune, like nothing ever fucking happened.

Most of their guitars that arent special lines like the Goth '58s or the Prophecies are shitty. In Australia, anyways.
Goth version are for whiny teenagers who want to be different
It's paying like a hundred bucks more for ONE inlay and a black paintjob
I'll stick with my regular SG thank you
Well it really must be Australia because everyone seems to love Epiphone besides us.
