[QUOTE=Rad McCool;22318861]It cuts the signal.
Used in the riff of Buckethead's "Jordan" for example.

Thats just stupid....
Just make a closing non-locking switch that connects the + and - wires together before the mics. Voilà
Guys, I sold one of my old guitars, saved up some money etc, and now I have an Ibanez AS73. :3: I'll get pics up in a bit.

What kind of picks do you guys use?
I've used 0.73 dunlops for quite a while, but at a show the other day I catched a bass pick of Alan Roberts (Life of agony). Been playing with it for a while, and I like it better than any pick i've used before.

Thin picks bend too much.

One on the left.
Fuck, you can see the fingerprints on that.
I'm hoping to get a guitar in my summer break. Is it hard to actually learn to play the guitar? Any good guitars and amps for starters? Any help will be appreciated.

Your finger tips will hurt and it's a pain in the ass making your fingers do what they are told for a while, I spent a month getting my pinky to move fluidly and not like a robot :v:
And make sure you learn theory as well as just playing, I'm regretting not learning theory.
Im only starting to learn theory now after nearly 3 years of playing, although Ive only started taking it seriously about 3 months ago... haha

I tried playing with them a few weeks ago but I gave up nearly instantly. I guess if you started on them and are use to them they seem fine, but they felt awful to me.
I burnt my left index and middle finger making a bacon sammich today. It doesnt hurt playing guitar, just feels... weird. Like Ive got no sensation in my fingers. But then when I stop for a moment the pain comes :3:

Funny thing, I played with other picks for about a year, got one of them, instantly loved them.

Been using that while playing guitar.
Do picks really matter that much?
I just collect them from Guitar Center.

I think thickness makes a huge difference. But branded picks are pointless in my opinion, unless they're "super revolutionary", or something like that.
I use Eric Johnson Dunlop Jazz IIIs
I went from Dunlop Nylon .88s to Ibanez Paul Gilbert signature picks, to regular Jazz IIIs to the EJ ones.
The EJ ones are the best picks I've ever used up to now
I like 1.5mm picks.
I use 0,75mm picks :v:
I have a 3.0mm for bassing.
[editline]08:13PM[/editline]
YES I PLAY BASS WITH A PICK, NO NEED TO MAKE FUN ok
Mine says its a dunlop .88mm.
Its grey.
[editline]08:26PM[/editline]
"usa nylon"
I'm only buying white picks, I keep losing my grey ones because they almost have the same colous as me carpet.
I use a 1mm. When I started out guitar I used like .80 but then I tried out 1mm and it just kinda stuck.
I use .5 picks, always have and for some reason I can't really use anything else now.
Dunlop Tortex Sharp 1.33 or 1.35
