I'm totally going to ask you to do a guest solo in one of songs one day.
I plan on rerecording/rearranging this song I wrote when I get some new equipment, I reckon your mandolin skills would sound awesome in it :v:

Sweet bro, I'll try and put something together. I'm really noobish with my mandolin, I just started playing it.

The bass player in my father's band plays that. He also has absolute pitch.
for some reason my JTM30 has recently begun to scream hiss and make all kinds of terrifying noises
i ask FP's guitar amp whizzes for some info on this one. i haven't changed anything about my setup at all, yet just a couple of days ago i can't stand near the amp without it going EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRR and creating some of the most horrendous buzz imaginable
this would be fine if i was trying to burn people's ears off in a gig but it's not helpful when i'm trying to be soft at home.
It's most likely your guitar or your cable. Screw the jack open and check if the + - are properly soldered and not touching each other (altho short circuit would only mute the sound completely). If you use active mics switch batteries. Also check your guitars female jack connections.

Very much so.
I love the idea of a guitar being a piece of art.
So I was as this dance thing right and this association that I'm in had a band play for it. They decided to play the Final Countdown for some reason and the bassist being a real metalhead did something I've never seen before.
He played the guitar solo on his bass. The guitarist stopped playing in the middle of the solo just to watch him.
Lol Just realized pageking
Is a Epiphone Explorer Gothic good for trash metal?
I'm trying to learn the ending solo bit from the Black Sabbath song "Children of the Grave". Any tips on how I could do this properly? As I'm not sure my technique is that great, I'm just taking it one bar at a time and memorizing it like that.
What do you guys do to learn a difficult piece?
Godfuckingdammit another obscure folk instrument I want to learn. The Hardingfele

Practice slowly. Very. Slowly. Then gradually increase the tempo. There's no other way.

Lucky for you mine is a CE22 then :v: somewhere between the old PRS Standards and the Customs, so no bird inlays for me :saddowns:
The RR24 is in the Pro Series, the highest series they make which aren't the American series for double the price. Unless you're mistaking it for the RR3 or the RX10D
Yeah I mistook it for a RR3. The RR24 isn't bad, I'm just not a fan of Jackson in general though.
I'm getting a 25th anniversary SE soon hopefully, so bird inlays and better pickups for me!
I am going to make a song out of harmonics
I am going to make a song out of harmonics
Let us know how that turns out.
Maybe if I'm not lazy, I can record it somehow and put it up here
but I got no gear, so we'll see how we go
and on the subject of harmonics
Acoustic guitar harmonics > Electric harmonics
Imo ofc
You need some distortion to get the most out of your harmonics.
So I've wanted to learn an instrument for a few years and I finally convinced the parents into getting me one for Christmas. I originally wanted drums, but we have no room.
I have decided on THIS. Other than the amp sucking, I've heard good things about it. One of my best friends swears by Ibanez, and recommended it to me.

When I get my electric back from the guitar guys I'll put that to the test
For pinch harmonics I agree, I don't know about regular harmonics though

Why go microtonal when you can go fretless? :smug:

Nonikai, that's a 12 string bass silly :buddy:
Also if that's a picture of a Tennessee ERG then posing with it is all he'll be able to do, those guitars are literally unplayable :v:
Fine, but it's nonetheless a bass GUITar!!!!
