My guitar strings are super high near the 24th fret and its starting to get bother sum with having to push harder and all that. To fix it do I have to lower my bridge or is there something els I have to do.

I guess of a combination of changing the action, maybe even adjusting the truss rod as well? I wouldn't try that unless you know what you're doing though.
You should be able to try lowering the action yourself though, depending on the bridge you have it might be as simple as lowering it.

Also on the topic of picks I just use the Fender Premiums in the medium gauge (which I guess is around .77?) I've got them in all sorts of colors :buddy:
i use dunlop .5's, but im starting to struggle with alt picking so would you guys suggest increasing the picks thickness?
also i am going to get a Blackstar HT-5 Combo, just wondering if anyone else has this amp and what your thoughts are

I have this huge pile of medium dunlop and thin fender celluloids that I can't stand using, but feel obliged to run through because I have 'em. I probably ought to just go to GC and buy one of everything and see what I'm comfortable with. All I know I like are those 1mm tortex standards for bass and the 1mm nylon standards ('cuz they're chewy.)

Belt sander, actually. I really don't recommend it, that is, unless you can handle holding a 10 pound object that makes your hands numb over time.

Well I don't plan on ever playing guitar in an actual band, just my own personal use. I can even use my bass effects pedal for it, so I'm pretty much set with that equipment.

Ibanez GAX30 is pretty damn nice, and it's cheap. I don't have one, but a friend of mine does, and it's pretty good.
