I wonder why metal is male dominated
http://pom.sagepub.com/content/30/2/164.abstract
Hypothetically this should mean there's no stigma against it, but they don't mention that dominant personalities are frequently frowned upon in females, so by proxy playing a male instrument would make them look like bull dykes to their peers.

I wonder why I just got fret buzz after putting on heavier gauge strings and making no truss rod adjustments.
Did you change brand as well? I've noticed some brands buzz more than others, but not enough to make it sound worse through an amp or anything.
Oh god, I'm making a new original song and it's coming along fine, but I can't record it!!
Because my main comp has SB Audigy 4, which doesn't seem to be compatible with 6gb of memory or Win7, because all recording become choppy. So due to this, I will have to record guitar and bass on my laptop.
Shitty thing is that my laptop doesn't have "What U Hear" function, so I can't get drums at all.
I've made drums with drumsite demo version usually and because it's a demo I can't export them in WAV, so I am forced to use the "What U Hear" function to get them recorded.
So what to do, what to do...... :frown:
Are there any distortion pedals that are good for under $60? I'm looking at the Boss DS1, but I think there are better for less than 60.
The DS1 might be your best bet. Play with it, and if its not what youre looking for then keep searching
I'm dying for a delay effect, but I need to learn how to save my money for more useful things :smith:

I'm hitting myself in the head as I bought Marshall MG15R, it's not bad for 90 pounds, but I had 190 pounds with me and I wanted to get VoXVT15 but the guy told me they only had VT30, I hit my head again because I could pay 170 pounds for VT30, but the other thing I liked about this amp is many amp models and effects and headphone output for normal ear phones or computer headphones, which was a dream made for me, another thing; I would not be able to carry such big box myself to the house, and 30 watts? I don't need so much power as I do not play in the band and not even very loud as I live in a flat, most of the time I'm using headphones with Marshall I have right now, but yeah the Delay effect was one effect I wanted the most.
[editline]18th November 2010[/editline]
Any good effect pedals out there for a good price? Delay, Distortion, Equalizer, I need these.
Nah, don't have the tools to do very precise neck specs. I generally make the body neck joint to fender standards, then modify the neck as I need to do fit the body.
Basically, I don't have the tool capacity to do spec-orders. If I were to sell something, it would be a complete guitar. Still, I'd like more practice in finishing before I start selling stuff.
Hey! Do you have any guitar project at the moment? I miss your build-threads :)
Oh man this song I'm making sounds so solid! Jeeeeeezzzzzzz, if only I could record a sample of it for you :frown:
I find that I forget riffs I make up pretty fast, I think I'm gonna get a handy recorder or something
I've got probably close to 50 separate guitar pro files with just one riff in them because I always think 'hey that sounds cool I should work on that'
then I never do
or they get cannibalized for a dnb track
The only riffs that really stick with me are the ones I can't get out of my head. I can come up with a ton of them that sound good, but only a few stick.

Yes! My Bugera 6262 212 is on its way motherfuckers!

Hah, you're reviewing your own song? :P

Nothing wrong with being proud of your work man
It's not like he's calling it a masterpiece either

Yea you're right. I just started thinking about a friend of mine who often went "Hey Rad, you must check this out. It's the best thing I've ever heard!!" and he then proceeded sending me a GP5-file with some boring guitar riff and a metronome.
Nobody likes a boaster.
Did you change brand as well? I've noticed some brands buzz more than others, but not enough to make it sound worse through an amp or anything.
Yeah, this is a set of EB's, I thought they were holding up well to my floyd but then I noticed the buzz. And it comes through pretty bad on the amp.
http://dump.no/files/2ac4882fc27f/untitled.wav
I finally got my setup ~noiseless and am trying to really push my amp modelers to see what I can or can't get for distortion, but then I turn up the gain and try to listen for noise and get WURRRRRRBBBBBBB
I have like three packs of EBs on hand, though, so I think I might dick with the truss rod anyway and see if I can't make them work before I move on to DRs or boomers.
So what to do, what to do...... :frown:
Notate the drum part and give it to me/one of us? I have Addictive Drums and Superior Drummer, I assume one of us probably has Drumkit from Hell or something similar.

Spend some time in hiphop and get back to me.
I was meaning me do it :v:
There is a few places in town that can get wood and I'm capable of making my own body. I was just wondering if that was a plausible way of making a (semi) home made bass.
That would be fucking awesome if you did it! any online places you're looking at?
if I can find a decent neck anywhere. the body would be custom made, the neck would be pre-made and bought from the net, pickups and wiring will be done by the guy in the music shop in town.

ALSO!
I am looking for a high output replacement soapbar pickup for my Dean Z.
Any suggestions? I am open to passive and active.

i play on a 100 watt at home... really sounds alot better
Just got a Fender Mustang to replace my Line 6 practice amp. It's not a huge improvement in sound but it's SOOOOOO much easier to use and it works great for recording since it works with Amplitube and Guitar Rig.

Try some Seymour Duncans, they are supposed to be great quality.
Get the blackouts, I'm fairly sure that they're active pickups and I think somebody here got them and said they were great quality
Well now, here's a midi of the new song I'm making. It's the best I can give at the moment.
http://www.mediafire.com/?2d7tw133g7hbw8d
Sounds nice in my ears and it's the best thing I've come up musically for a while.

A lot of the people I know that have tried EMG's and Blackouts like EMG's more. It's really opinion. Also, instead of buying a new pickup, you could just 18v mod the EMG.
Also, EMG 81/85/60 aren't the only EMGs made. There is the 89 with the single coil switch ability.

Nice, I like it! The transition in the middle is a little odd though, I'm guessing that's hard to do with a midi.

I barely know anything about pickups, I just know that EMGs are fairly popular

and I really like being able to switch to a SC with humbucker equipped guitar, or that kind of feature at least
