oh-la-la The DBZ Imperial Behold it and all it's thin glory. Anybody know the price? It doesn't say at the website.
http://www.mrbluesguy.com/dbz-imperial-electric-guitar/ 3998.00 $$$
http://www.mrbluesguy.com/dbz-imperial-electric-guitar/ 3998.00 $$$
!! Well at least I can dream...
A bit more than 1/2", but thats only 'cause the body is chambered and it's a thick guitar. And if you really didn't want to do a lot of sanding, you can use your router to compensate by making a carve top the way a CNC machine would, it just takes more focus and you can screw up so easily. Edit: Kinda like this guy did here http://www.tdpri.com/forum/tele-home-depot/167965-diy-router-thicknesser.html
That's the kind of thing I could do without a jig. Seems like a good method. Though, I wouldn't be able to do the curve all the way up to the top like that, I like to have a flat surface near the bridge and pickups.
But that Rickenbacker has a custom sound that none of those can fully replicate..
If you like the tone of that Rickenbacker that much then yes, it's a problem. I, however, don't. I don't play anything that calls for a Rickenbacker guitar - plenty of songs played on Rickenbacker basses (Muse), but not their guitars.
Would I be a total twat if I bought the Buckethead gibson?
That headstock is pure sex.
You sure do like phallic objects, don't you?
Would I be a total twat if I bought the Buckethead gibson?
It seems to me that with signature guitars, you pay for the name. Before you decide, look around for similar, cheaper options. Also, with Gibson, NEVER buy a guitar when you haven't played it first. And I mean it, don't pay for any guyitar that you haven't touched and seen.
^That man speaks the truth. Also, I know that it's a BC Rich. But I'd still want one just because of the shape. The 1st one it hideous

Well hot damn, looks like BC rich can make a guitar that looks nice
This bc rich is selling at a guitar shop near me.

I'd want a 4003.. I love it's tone

Firstly, I really like the finish. Secondly, the headstock shape, and Thirdly, I think the way they've done the twelve string one is pretty cool.
That's a good idea to have the octave strings tuned from the body.
Even though I'm not a fan of BC Rich, that tuning system is absolutely awesome.
It's not new. I personally think it looks a bit silly anyway :v:
It's not new. I personally think it looks a bit silly anyway :v:
Still way better than an enormous headstock on ordinary 12-strings
Shame it's an Ibby
Shame it's an Ibby
Don't you go knocking Steve Fucking Vai's guitar. Steve Vai will kick your ass in more ways than you can imagine. Plus what's wrong with Ibanez?!
Don't you go knocking Steve Fucking Vai's guitar. Steve Vai will kick your ass in more ways than you can imagine. Plus what's wrong with Ibanez?!
Their necks give me cramp And Steve Vai kinda bores me :v:
Ibanez seven string necks are godlike.
Ibanez seven string necks are godlike.
Too thin for my hands. If PRS made a 7 string I'd be in love, or if I could nab one of the new Suhr 7 strings
Their necks give me cramp And Steve Vai kinda bores me :v:
Steve Vai has written some of the most electic and exciting songs I have ever heard.
It's true that Ibanez guitars have thin necks.
