You don't know anything about lightness untill you've picked up a Parker.
anyone recommend a cheap acoustic <£100 preferably with spruce top and mahog back and sides
I'm currently looking at http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/product/11347-fender-cd-60-natural.html
Could anybody recommend me anything challenging to play? I've pretty much just stepped into a whole new valley of guitar playing skill and I need more stuff to play.
It's an amazing guitar, but I don't know about the ones that come fresh out of the box, since I bought mine from my guitar teacher.

ERGs seem somewhat popular amongst FPers :buddy:
I'd say Casinos,Strats, and Teles are the most popular.

You screwed up my automerge :saddowns:
I just saw a "1 year old" Ibanez GRG 170 DX for 1000 bucks.
My Ibanez GRG 170 DX cost like 500 bucks fresh new. Scammer, or got scammed?
Just a question, how much worse is a Squire Jazz-Bass from a Fender one?
Edit: Sorry, meant Squier.
Squire sucks in general
Squire sucks in general
My Squier is a pretty decent guitar.
Squire sucks in general
Squier, on the other hand, are rather nice.
How's that pathfinder dirty harry?
I really like it. It's only a practice amp, ofcourse.
I don't have much experience with amps though, so some may consider it a piece of shit - but for just £50, I don't think you can complain. Great value.
Great for playing Beatles stuff, with my Casino.

Might get one, I need a new practice amp and £50 sounds like a rather good price.

They are actually great sounding, Comparable as I have heard to Fender Jazz Basses. Though it depends...
You will get a great sound out of this:

But you wont out of this:

Specifically, I was looking at a Squire Affinity-Series 5-string J-Bass in my local guitar shop. Seems as though, they're ripping me off since it's $368 (after conversion).

Cool. It really is great for the money.
What guitar(s) have you got?

A standard MIM Telecaster with a gorgeous sunburst and an Epiphone SG Special (which I don't really use). Will post pictures later if I find my camera.

Get one, either from the Vintage Modified series or the Classic Vibe.
I don't see a locking nut on there, how does it stay in tune?
Havn't put the locking nut on yet due to a lack of tiny screws. The locking nut is not going to be placed floyd style, it'll be behind the headnut. strings will go over the headnut, and through the locking nut. I don't really like the way the metal locking nuts change the tone of the guitar.
