I'd say Casinos,Strats, and Teles are the most popular.
Well I said that becuase relatively speaking, a very, very small percentage of gutiarists play ERGs, yet there have already been several posted in the first page of this thread.
Please keep us updated with progress. I will love you forever if you can complete the whole song (with solos).
Yeah right! I can play the other parts pretty nicely, but the solo and the part before the solo, no fucking way. Not yet. Also, I think the new Limp Bizkit song is pretty rad. I've got a tough decsion, after the summer finals are finished I'm looking at buying a Line 6 15w and a new Guitar. Stuck between: Ibanez Artcore AS73 in Ivory White or Epiphone Dot in Red Agrees for the Ibanez Gaybows for the Epiphone Disagrees for something completely different.
I say the Epiphone, however I think you should consider a different amp. From what I've heard (this isn't first hand experience) the spider series aren't very good.
I say the Epiphone, however I think you should consider a different amp. From what I've heard (this isn't first hand experience) the spider series aren't very good.
I doubt I'll buy an amp until I actually get either guitar and then hear them through it before buying. My friends selling his old line 6 for a new 100w so I'm getting it for cheaps. Amps aren't a huge thing for me since I'm just looking for a practice amp, and my drummer usually lets me use his own sound system for gigs. Although I'm only about 5 ft 8 and my biggest worry is that those guitars will make me look miniature in comparison during a gig.
So finally decided, getting a Les Paul Ivory Costum Epiphone, hand built. thats the one that looks like Randy Rhodes played. Getting it for 450 bux, brand new in the box from 2002 or something i dont remember. Good or bad? ive played one of them and for me, they sound awesome, and they feel awesome! Looks like this! Mah Jackson SL3 Soloisto!
I say the Epiphone, however I think you should consider a different amp. From what I've heard (this isn't first hand experience) the spider series aren't very good.
I heard that too after I bought one. I have no idea what they are talking about, it is great.
So I went to the guitar technician and he said that the 6th fret was filed too low. It took a day to fix it and now the guitar is perfect.
how many seconds of sustain is alot of sustain? [editline]06:47PM[/editline] please dont say over 9000
how many seconds of sustain is alot of sustain? [editline]06:47PM[/editline] please dont say over 9000
Think of a song with what you consider "enough sustain". Base it off of that.
Jackson with Seymour Duncans and a Floyd Rose? :flashfap:
helluva yeah! Although the hot rails can be a little annoying on clean sometimes.
helluva yeah! Although the hot rails can be a little annoying on clean sometimes.
damn nice hot rails what is the bridge humbucker?
Don't know if I posted this already, but I would like to know how I would get more of a "crispyness" to the bass sound. I got the Mid and Treble turned quite high and I only have the bridge pickup enabled, but that punch is still missing. Any ideas? Not that it would be bad tone as it is, but it could be a bit better.
I've got a telecaster and I'm thinking of changing the neck pickup for something else. A few questions: -Are there any single-coil sized humbuckers that are pretty decent for hard rock? -How easy it it to change pickups? Should I get it done by a professional?
Ibanez Artcore AS73 in Ivory White OR Epiphone Dot in Red
Epiphone Dot.
Get it done by someone in a music shop unless you are absolutely sure you know what to do, cause you don't want to fuck it up.
There's not much to fuck up really. I see no reason not doing it yourself.
hey I'd rather be safe than sorry when it comes to my pride and joy
Get it done by someone in a music shop unless you are absolutely sure you know what to do, cause you don't want to fuck it up. also hi five Tele respek
It's a wonderful instrument, have a hi five back. Any pickup suggestions anyone?
Ibanez Artcore AS73 in Ivory White or Epiphone Dot in Red
I have that Artcore in sunburst and from my experience it sounds just a tad better and is more comfortable than the Dot. It's slightly smaller too, which you said was something you were worried about. I say try them both out first and see which one you like best, I like the Ibanez but you may like the Epiphone. I have a feeling most of Facepunch will rate you for the Epiphone because they're unfamiliar with the Ibanez.
It's a wonderful instrument, have a hi five back. Any pickup suggestions anyone?
I'd recommend thomann.de for stuff, it's a reliable site with good selection. [editline]09:13PM[/editline] http://www.thomann.de/gb/seymour_duncan_sshr1b_wh.htm Seymour Duncan single coil Humbucker.
I just can't help, but say I finally got most of Perpetual Black Second - Meshuggah down today. God damn the rhythm was so hard to get properly, but now it's just so incredibly fun to play I can't describe it.
You'll get used to those rhythms eventually, making all of them easy to play.
Ive been trying some slap riffs recently, but I can't get the sound Im looking for. Should I get a bass with a middle pickup? because mine only has a bridge and neck pickup. Making sure I'm just not using the right EQ settings before I go and get a new bass.
