My computer can play any amp modeling thing well, but my computer is pretty decent. I've got a Digitech R250 and I like it a lot. What's nice about amp modeling is that you can record a solo clean, and then add everything you want and tweak it to perfection, and then save that configuration as a preset.
amp modeling sounds like shit no matter what compared to a real amp

I've got a VOX DA-5 amp. It's awesome, I can't turn it all the way up without blasting my ears to hell. The effects are cool too. All you need to do is replace the speaker and it's one fine amp.
Anyone knows what this guy is trying to mention?

I have a VOX Pathfinder 10 practice amp. It's great, as a practice amp.
Publius has a VOX VT50 or something, that he's said is awesome.

I'm looking to buy a new guitar soon since I got a job over the summer, I'm making a nice 581,17$(according to an internet currency converter), and I have some asved too.
What I want in a guitar:
Stratocaster/Superstrat bodyshape(this is not a must, but it is ideal)
HSS or HSH configuration
Fixed bridge
Thick neck, set or neck-thru
Any ideas? I was thinking of Ibanez, but their necks give me cramps. Jackson maybe? Or Schecter?
I'm getting sick of this. Whenever I play my acoustic, even for just one song, I end up with specs of skin and shit all over the fingerboard. This happens regardless of when I play. Sure, I can wipe the fretboard with a cloth under the strings - but there's more in no time at all.
This only happens with my acoustic though, my electric is fine. Anybody know why this is, and how I can stop it? I may just have to give it a real good rubbing with some lemon oil.
If you want thick necks go for the Schecter.

My mate's got a Tiny Terror and the 1X12 cab, really awesome amp.

Schecter will have what you need.
I found this Schecter, nit seems like a really great deal. It is HH, but has a coil split, so it's got everything I need.
Does anyone know how coil split SCs sound? I've heard something abo9ut them being a bit dull, and I want them crunchy.
I'll probably buy the guitar regardless though

Got a Vox VT30. I'd give anything to have an AC30 though. God they are awesome amplifiers.

Don't buy it, it costs 666 euros. :tinfoil:
OH what the hell, you have to buy it since that makes it more metal.
I know it's epic
Fun thing is, it's not really a metal guitar
Am I the only one that doesn't really like schecters? They just seem a bit immature, not sure how to say it. Like all the metal kiddies think they're the best guitars in existence, which they aren't. I really wasn't all that impressed when I played one, it didn't stand out, could've been any other guitar.
Also I'm thinking I might get a Pod X3 since I figure I'll never be happy with my tone unless I buy a mesa boogie dual rectifier with a massive cab. Also I'm considering a Jackson SLSMG with the money I make from selling my current Jackson.

It's got everything I want:
24 frets
emg pickups
ebony fretboard
neck thru body
fixed bridge, with string thru body
snow white colour
six stringed
superstrat shape
battery slot in the back so you don't have to unscrew it every time you want to change the batteries
Don't ask me why it's taken six guitars and over £4000 to find this one. Thankfully someone has finally taken an interest in my Jackson SL2H.
Just got myslef a new epiphone prophecy sg EX. :smug:
Ill probably upload pics tommorrow. But this thing is such a huge step up from my stagg strat. Its soooo much easier to play and Im no longer restricted to 21 frets. The active pups have quite an awesomme tone to them too!

I paid £230 for mine, and considering the relatively inconsequential modifications I've made to it I'd say it's been one of my best investments I've made. I agree, something about the EMG and Blackout equipped guitars are offputting, but the Tempest and other more conservative looking models are amazingly good.
I love mine wholeheartedly, and it can hold it's own against my PRS, no questions asked

I don't like them much, either. Personally, I think the only way to get quality from a guitar is to get a custom. That, or a Les Paul Studio.
Speaking of custom, check this out.

Yeah because, you know, all ESPs, Jacksons, PRS, Ibbys, and so on aren't quality guitars If you don't order a custom.

Never saw that headstock on a Jackson till now, the hell.
And why not get a trem with that?

When I say custom, I mean hand made.
So yes, all ESPs, Jacksons, PRS, Ibbys, and so on aren't quality to me.
used to play but not so much anymore, not enough time
