Anyone heard of DBZ Guitars? (Not DragonBall Z)
They look pretty awesome.

Looking at that guitar and if I would not have known that you didnt mean DragonBall Z, I would've easily thought you meant DragonBall Z.
They look like Dean but nicer. In fact the guy who designs them is called Dean... or at least that's what the website says.
What are good pickups for metal but have a nice clean sound. I'm considering DiMarzio D Activators. Anyone have any suggestions?
Seymour duncan JB TB4. They're really good.

The guy who runs DBZ IS Dean. Dean B Zelinsky formed Dean Guitars, but left 2 years ago after Elliot Rubinson etc started taking the company in a direction Zelinsky didn't agree with. (as in, raping Dime's name and legacy)
Holy shit this looks awesome, it's a good price too, about £600

I would now rather get this than the jackson

What guitar are you using? Pickups will react better with different woods. Both D Activators and the JB are voiced for mahogany since they have pretty demanding high frequencies which the mahogany mellows out.
So what guitar is it? And also, what amp are you using?
YOU FUCKED UP MY AUTOMERGE
YOU FUCKED UP MINE
capes.
ah the DBZ has 22 frets... hmm, it's one of those things I can't imagine mattering very much, but I'm just paranoid that once I buy it then every song I want to play requires the extra two frets. The jackson is £200 more for 2 extra frets. I may just go with the backup plan and get an ESP MH-350NT, it's basically a horizon with a rosewood fretboard and a bit worse wood top, still got everything I want and only £550.
At first I used to hate SGs.
Then I thought they were pretty cool, but probably wouldn't ever get one because I doubt I'd need or want one.
Saw a video yesterday which was a great example of the SG, and how great they actually sound.
Then I found this:

That's sweet. I love the gigantic trem.
Finally got them pictures up!

Holy fuck that's pretty nice. I love Vipers
I'm actually kind of torn between getting one or getting a Schecter tele thing
http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Schecter-Guitar-Research-PTStandard-Electric-Guitar?sku=513042
Both seem suitable for what I want to do right now, so it's pretty much a tossup

Why not an actual tele?
yeh fgt why not :colbert:
I don't like the idea of SS configuration, because it doesn't seem suitable for my needs. Plus I already have an SS guitar
you could get one with S H or H H.
I've looked, but to get an SH/HH Fender Tele, I'd need to dish out more cash, and money's hard to come by

Is the $500 a hard and fast limit? Because you could get a Squier HH Tele for less than that, or something like these used:

http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Fender-Special-Edition-Custom-Telecaster-FMT-HH-Electric-Guitar?sku=511262#used
It's not that much more.
Actually, shit, I think I might want that last one.
I'm still caught up between this:
and this
I'm getting a pretty fat paycheck and both are in reasonable price ranges.
The Parker is 1260€ and the Dean is 990€

I know, but I'm just trying to keep the costs low, since I have other things I should save up for, and that money doesn't grow on trees.
Basically, I'm a tightwad that wants alot of stuff

I'm sure my tune will change once I find a job, though
Go with the parker. I've always had a thing for parkers, but that's just me.

I have a Parker P44 at the moment and a Schecter Omen 7.
Parkers are damn fine guitars, but I also need a new seven string.
Well, they are two pretty different guitars.
The Parker is HSS and more versatile, while the Dean is 7-string and HH, so it's more suitable for 'evy metul.

Yeah, the Bolero is one of the best looking guitars I've seen.
Anyone knows the best place to look for a Fender Jagstang, there are about 2 on ebay, but I'd prefer to find one in Europe.
Any suggestions?

Isn't the Jagstang discontinued? eBay or Gumtree is what I'd go for

Oh, I can understand the sentiment. I'm just of a slightly different mindset- I'd rather wait longer to have better gear across the board than a lot of lower quality stuff faster.
Unrelated: For now all I've got is an acoustic (some old Lotus) nobody played in years. Ancient strings + rust = my god, the taste of metal on me fingers. Just being near the fretboard makes me feel like I'm donating platelets.
