I don't really like parkers, they look like "modern" art from the 80s. Not so classy.
I really like parkers, they look like "modern" art from the 80s. Very classy.
I have to say, I also don't find them very appealing.
Of course, its about what you want, not what I think.
Not to mention that I severely doubt the look of it affects the sound.

I agree they're fuckin ugly
they don't even fit in the whole "arrogant new-era jazz fusion 'if it ain't jazz it ain't music'" scene
What is everyone here's opinion on Achokarlos, I found out about him by looking up Death Covers. He's done some really interesting things, like covering songs that usually have 6 strings and using 8 strings on them... regardless. He releases all his solo stuff for free and I've been digging on it for a while. Here is my favorite.

He tries too much, adds too much riffs or tempo changes or style changes without having them actually contribute something to the song - typical technical player, doesn't know much about composing.
It just sounds like riff after riff after riff after riff, and to me those aren't songs, they're just riff collections.
Just my 2 cents.
I'd like to know what you think of Sun o)))) then

Is the proper way to pick this (Down, Down, Down, Up (Pull off), Up?
Is it up or down when you come back to the beginning (the 9)? (To repeat the pattern)

If I was sweeping I'd personally play it like you described, and I prefer to start each time with a down stroke on the 9th fret of G in this example. But there really isn't a right or wrong way. That would probably be the most efficient way anyway.
Is it up or down when you come back to the beginning (the 9)? (To repeat the pattern)
The 9 should always be played down to the floor (up in pitch). So you reset your position before playing it.
Been looking at this for a grad gift:

Thoughts? I play mostly everything except heavy metal, etc.

My friend played one of those for a few years.
I'll edit with his opinion.
Edit:
He says he liked the finish and pickups but it sounded better distorted than clean so he bought another guitar. I hope that helps.

I don't like how it looks.
I don't like how it looks.
I don't give a shit about asthetics. If I really don't like it, I'll try my hand at altering it/slap a fuckton of stickers on it and call it "punk".

I almost always have distortion on, thanks.
How high should your bridge be to the 24'th fret so that you don't get that buzzing noise.

Well it depends on how you want to play it. Now that is obviously a sweep picking riff, so it would be what the others suggested. But you don't have to play it in that way at all, you can do it in any way you want, especially if you don't want the sweep picking sound. If you plan on playing that real fast though, you'll have to sweep pick it.

I doubt your bridge is the problem.
Look here for a fix.
No theirs no problem right now, just I put on relay heavy strings a month or so ago and the strings are super high from the neck and I don't want to screw anything up by lowering it to far.
Be careful with putting heavy strings on guitars that can't support them.

Sounds like neck bending

Tighten that truss rod. Or get someone else to.
What did you have on then and what do you have now?
I want to buy the ESP MH350 but I know I should probably buy the Pod X3 first.
I need some help, I bought a new guitar today. But once I got it home I noticed on the 2nd string, when I play the 8th and 10th frets, it's gives this horrible metallic twangy sound. Anyone know why?

Your pegs( the ones you use to tune your guitar ) may be resonating, I have this on my guitar, it doesn't bother me because the sound doesn't transfer into the pickups.
OR 9th and 11th frets are little higher than 8th and 10th frets, making the string touch the fret and create that sound.
Thats fret buzz
Thats fret buzz
This. It probably just needs a setup.
The tone I get out of my POD is never as good as the tone I get out of my amp. It's actually noticeable.
It's not like it sounds bad, but it's a lot more... artificial

I hate the way my amp sounds, whatever pedals/mixing I use it's always really muddy and bassy and sounds terrible when playing lower riffs. Hopefully getting a POD will solve that.

You shouldn't buy anything. You should learn to play ffs!
