if anyone buys that i will literally use it to murder them
It's like a testament to how retarded and horrible both Cort and Gene Simmons are
Ive been trying some slap riffs recently, but I can't get the sound Im looking for. Should I get a bass with a middle pickup? because mine only has a bridge and neck pickup. Making sure I'm just not using the right EQ settings before I go and get a new bass.
I don't have a middle pickup and I can get a pretty bitchin' slap sound. Just mess around with your EQ. Compression also can drastically improve your slap sound by bringing all your notes to a consistent volume, so your pops aren't louder and harsher than your slaps or vice versa.
Question
With the right strings, can you tune a 5 String to EADGB instead of BEADG.
Depends on how sturdy your neck is
Honestly I wouldn't
just tune a 4 string to standard...
but if for some reason you really want to you'd need to get the lightest gauge strings possible, and i honestly don't even know if you can tune a B string to E...tension might be really high
damn nice hot rails what is the bridge humbucker?
I think its a JB TB4. My yamaha has a JB SH4

Wow, that's fucking beautiful
I feel like experimenting and maybe put a DiMarzio D-activator x in the bridge of the jackson, since the hot rails are HOT.
If I could get that in red wow
well, actually, it turns out a setting that I had on my effects pedal was messing with the sound, so I disabled it. And yeah, I'll try out the compression settings on my pedal too. With only reverb settings on, it sounds pretty cool just going into the amp.
Oh, and btw, I found the pitch setting on my pedal, so I can play this:

on a four string bass.
primus is disturbing

The lyrics are ingenious.
Question

Yes, as long as you don't tune up the standard 5 string set. Rob Trujillo from 'Tallica strings his 5 string in this way
is there a string set you can do this with.
Don't know if I posted this already, but I would like to know how I would get more of a "crispyness" to the bass sound.
I got the Mid and Treble turned quite high and I only have the bridge pickup enabled, but that punch is still missing. Any ideas?

Not that it would be bad tone as it is, but it could be a bit better.
The punch is missing? Only have the neck pup activated and play with your fingers above the bridge pup.
So I'm looking to get a squier strat, please refrain from "squiers are shit blah blah". I'm interested in the strat body and this is my first guitar so a true Fender strat is a little out of my price range. Now that I'm looking at Squiers, idk what kind to get. By that I mean I'm not sure whether to get a used one, and if so should I be on the look out for MIK/MIM/MIJ or does it even make a difference?
You don't necessarily have to go for even a Squier. You could go for lesser known brands. I mean, my bass is a Harley Benton. Sure it isn't the best in the world, but it's sturdy, sounds good and looks good, and it's worth £80.
They do a Strat style guitar, but their base is in Germany, so you might not want to buy from there if you live outside of Europe.

Where it's made usually dictates the overall build quality. Guitars made in Japan or USA are generally of the best quality and China and Indonesia are going to be the worst. That said, some guitars from Indonesia and China are really solid, but they're not going to be worth a lot.
Used guitars are a great idea, because generally older guitars are made to better quality specifications and they're cheaper. I'd recommend looking for a MIM Fender Strat, if that's still out of your price range then a Squier Standard Series guitar should serve you well. Just stay away from the Bullet and Affinity series.
well i have finally decided on the guitar and amp i am going to buy soon.
the guitar will be this

paired up with this amp, the Vox AC15VR

£660 overall, will also add a seymour duncan hot rail to the bridge at a later date.
Idunno why, but strangely enough I find it attractive.

In my opinion this video is quite badass.
And that Dean looks like something you buy in a toy shop for retarded children.
I'd like some suggestions for pickups I could put in my SG at some point.
I like my guitar as a whole, but I need some pickups with a little extra oomph.
I was thinking about seymour duncan blackouts possibly, I'd like something that can cover Hardcore, Post Hardcore, Metalcore kind of sounds and still be pretty decent for classic rock kinda stuff like AC/DC and Led Zep. Moar gain, is better.
I would like to keep the crome cover over the pickups, as I think if I had black humbuckers sticking outta my sg, it would look ugly. Suggestioins
