Keep looking, you'll find some people who will play similar stuff as you eventually.
Also, to above above poster, a better shot of the body would be nice, too.
Additionally, I just found out they brought back the PRS Custom 24 SE. I want one so bad.

What does it say on the headstock?
At the very top of the guitar where the strings are attached if you didn't know.
If you can specify a brand we might be able to help, otherwise pictures of the pickups is frankly useless

It looks like a 60s or 70s Japanese copy. Something like a Silvertone or a Teisco. It's pretty cool in a really surf retro way

Also I have some problems with my acoustic. The strings are so fucking hard to press down. Really, really tense. Do I need to buy a lighter gauge or a heavier gauge, or shall I just buy a new one (been considering one anyway)

acoustics are generally pretty hard to bar.
Western guitars aren't hard to bar.
Spanish are.

Bullshit, my classical is a piece of piss to barre, I had to sand the bottom of my Western acoustic's bridge to get it playable.
Publius, it might be worth doing what I did, just take the bit of the bridge out and sand the bottom of it, a tiny bit at a time and it should get much more playable

I actually tried to do that, but it's an electro acoustic and the pickup is underneath the bridge, attached by a metal wire :(

I guess I'll just buy lighter strings. It's an Ovation Celebrity, supposed to be a pretty good model, cost £450.

Unless the seller is a complete idiot, it will be a terrible guitar. Though you can't really go wrong for $50, no great loss.
If i buy it i will have to repaint it and change strings, but that should be easy :)

Teisco's are cool. Easy to fix up and easy to mod. If you give that some TLC it'll be a pretty sweet guitar
