I wish I had a band. :saddowns:
Me too :saddowns: I'm good at what I do, I just can't find anyone with the same musical interests as me at all, on top of getting kicked out for not being "basic" enough for the other guys
I'm in a band with a couple of friends. It's tonnes of fun. We have trouble advertising ourselves though.
No excuses. Best way to get your pinky in shape is to use it a lot.
This is true, it's really all on me haha. I've got to work on my work ethic.
Hey, I'm new to this forum, but I've been taking guitar lessons in school, and I just found this electric guitar in the trash, wondering if anyone could help me find out what guitar it is, seems pretty old

I just want to play melodic progressive groove metal :saddowns: [editline]06:21AM[/editline] To above post, I've never seen that kind of pickups before. Can we get a shot at the headstock?

Also, to above above poster, a better shot of the body would be nice, too. Additionally, I just found out they brought back the PRS Custom 24 SE. I want one so bad.
I just want to play melodic progressive groove metal :saddowns:
Goddamnit me too.
me too
I reckon you're ok just saying 'progressive metal'

At the very top of the guitar where the strings are attached if you didn't know. If you can specify a brand we might be able to help, otherwise pictures of the pickups is frankly useless
Those are probably some of the strangest pickups I've ever seen
It's gonna be a Jap copy of something. Looks like maybe a Hagstrom?
it's ugly, that's for sure lol
It looks like a 60s or 70s Japanese copy. Something like a Silvertone or a Teisco. It's pretty cool in a really surf retro way
maybe it's a gem, you never know
If we can get a brand we can do a namecheck Also I have some problems with my acoustic. The strings are so fucking hard to press down. Really, really tense. Do I need to buy a lighter gauge or a heavier gauge, or shall I just buy a new one (been considering one anyway)

Western guitars aren't hard to bar. Spanish are. Looks like a Hagtröm, judging from the body shape.

Publius, it might be worth doing what I did, just take the bit of the bridge out and sand the bottom of it, a tiny bit at a time and it should get much more playable

I guess I'll just buy lighter strings. It's an Ovation Celebrity, supposed to be a pretty good model, cost £450.
Western or Spanish?
Classicals are Spanish
It doesn't have a name on the headstock, i think its like 80's old or something [editline]02:46PM[/editline]
It looks like a 60s or 70s Japanese copy. What do you guys think of Yamaha Pacifica 112V? I only have found good reviews about it, and it seems like a perfect choice for beginner/medium skilled players, also looks very versatile. http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/product/42570-yamaha-pacifica-112v-electric-guitar-maple-neck-yellow-natural-satin-.html What do you think of natural finish on it or the tobacco sunburst? I'm thinking of buying a Epiphone SG special for like 47$, is this a good guitar?
I'm thinking of buying a Epiphone SG special for like 47$, is this a good guitar?
Unless the seller is a complete idiot, it will be a terrible guitar. Though you can't really go wrong for $50, no great loss.
If i buy it i will have to repaint it and change strings, but that should be easy :)
Yo dude, your right, Its a Teisco, has same exact look, and same exact output jack
Teisco's are cool. Easy to fix up and easy to mod. If you give that some TLC it'll be a pretty sweet guitar
