I'm thinking of buying a Epiphone SG special for like 47$, is this a good guitar?
Do it, it was my first guitar and for $47 it's a great deal.

I'm thinking of buying this... http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Gibson-Custom/1958-Les-Paul-Plain-Top-VOS/Overview.aspx the reviews are great, I looked up some videos and they sound great. I really love the sound of les pauls, the sustain... the unchambered les pauls sound amazing. Plus, take a look at this picture, its fucking sex in pixel form

Looks like someone took all the parts off the body, applied a sepia tone effect, then puts all the parts back on. It is awesome.
Is it hard to repaint a guitar? I'm thinking of doing it if i buy the cheap guitar i found

If you want to do it right, it's time consuming. You have to sand off all the layers of paint and clearcoat.

Sounds like something I would fuck right up.
What's a good Wah Pedal to use with it? I was thinking about getting the FBV Mk2 thats on the side of the box but from the reviews of it I hear everytime you change channel on it, the pedal defaults to Volume.
And very true. For the €400 I paid for it, it's the best buy I've made this year.
What's your price range?
What's a good single pup for an HSH 7-string to use for random clean bits?
Regardless of whether or not I do EMGs on the bridge and neck of this clusterfuck (I'd love some ceramic pigs but the BK forums are useless and I've not gotten back from the actual guy), I'm definitely not wanting one in the middle. DiMarzio and SD both seem a bit wanting for 7-string singles.
I wonder what it would be like to pick with one of these? :v:
(The thing is nearly half an inch thick.)

Holy shit those things are 13.465 times thicker than the picks I use. I want one just for the sake of having it.
EDIT: Ouch, $30 each...
$30,- for a pick?
You can do way better things with $30,-.
you can't buy much for $30
honestly if I had $30 right now, I'd spent it on weed and alcohol
My Floyd Rose is getting a little... dusty. I really really don't want to take it out to clean it and shit, so how do you do it when it's on the guitar?
everyone post how long they play for a day
an hour and a half if I can, which is usally
probably an hour or two over the course of the day, as of late. I've finished school, so I've got a lot of free time.
Like 5 minutes if I'm lucky. Too much schoolwork.
About an hour I think, I used to play for like 3 hours a day though
Two to three hours a day, I started playing bass guitar three months ago so I wanna progress as fast as possible. Because slow progress is boring.
Depends on which day. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays usually run up to 1 to 3 hours. Otherwise it's usually half an hour to 2 hours.

Get some big pipe cleaners and shape them appropriately and then just stick 'em right in there.

No seriously. I can't put things back together for shit. And this is a $1299 Jackson.

He was being serious. Also, try a can of compressed air?

If you own a $1299 guitar you should probably know how to set it up properly let alone perform the simple task of cleaning it.
For basic cleaning just go over it with a very well worn old toothbrush. Ideally though you'd probably want to take it apart completely and soak it in something like Tri-Flow oil.
I was being serious :(

Dear god what do you drink?
A typical bottle of anything decent is at least $30 per, if not $50-$60 per.
Anyway, back to guitars...I've been looking into a cheap acoustic for a while now, wondering if anyone had any experience with Epiphone's low-end acoustics. Just looking to see if they're playable at all, not looking for anything special.

That's both disappointing and surprising. Anyone have any recommendations for a cheap acoustic?
$200 USD would be the absolute max, I really just want it as something I can play wherever I am, because a solidbody electric sounds so quiet unamped.
