My local guitar center is selling one of these on clearance for $500: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Gibson-Les-Paul-Studio-Deluxe-Electric-Guitar-105475420-i1476659.gc how the hell do they even make money at this rate. Is the extra money worth it? I was thinking of getting this earlier: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Epiphone-Limited-Edition-Les-Paul-Studio-Deluxe-Electric-Guitar-105320576-i1449700.gc
Please stop linking to guitarcenter, it doesn't work outside the US
What else is there to link then?
Maybe just say what guitar it is, post a picture? I dunno´, just feeling a bit unneccesarily left out here
Please stop linking to guitarcenter, it doesn't work outside the US
Sorry. The first link is to a Gibson Les Paul Studio Deluxe, and the second is to an Epiphone Les Paul Studio Deluxe. Gibson: Epiphone: The Gibson is by far sexier, but the Epiphone will do fine if the sound remains similar. Description for Gibson:
Gibson Les Paul performance with a modern features and a no-frills attitude. The arrival of the Gibson Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar in 1983 offered guitarists all the essential elements of a Les Paul Standard, including a carved top and humbucking pickups. Its simple yet elegant design quickly helped it become the most popular model in the Les Paul Series. The Gibson Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar raises the bar with the cutting-yet-rich tone of a 490R humbucking pickup in the neck position and a BurstBucker Pro humbucking pickup in the bridge position, which are mounted on a carved maple top with a mahogany back. Controls include dual volume and push/pull tone controls to engage coil-splitting for an array of tones, and a 3-way toggle switch, hardware is finished in chrome including Grover tuners and Gibson's pioneering Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece. The Les Paul Studio Deluxe is dependable and affordable — and is built without any compromises. The Gibson Les Paul comes with a hardshell case and a limited lifetime warranty.
Description for Epiphone:
The Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar Is a dressed up studio edition that gives you all the great tone and sustain you expect from a meaty set-neck mahogany body with 12" radius for strings bends that won't fret out. The addition of Alnico Classic Plus humbuckers gives you even more low-end punch and midrange crunch. The LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece add more sustain and make string changing easier. This instrument is a super value offering the great tone, looks, and playability you expect from a Les Paul at an affordable price.
Please don't quote all of this in a post.
You could always compromise, Get a Les Paul Studio Faded. Now that's a sexy guitar, well 2. And they run $800 new!

That's a hell of a price for a Gibson, but their quality control has gone down the tubes, so play the EXACT guitar you would be buying. If you like it, go for it.
What else is there to link then?
I tend to use musiciansfriend.com when I'm linking to stuff, which I can assume has just about everything GC has
How would Facepunch pick "Snow ((Hey Oh))" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers? ----------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------- ------4----4h6p4----4-------4---4h6h4-----4-- ---6----6-----------6-------6---6-----------6----- 6-------------------------7------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------- Right now I am sweep picking the first three notes, the going up on the fourth, down on the fifth note and up on the Hammer-Pull. I finishing with two Downs. So D D D U D U Hammer Pull D D
I would play it as it comes to me naturally and don't ask silly questions
Just hold the powerchord it uses and adjust fingers where needed.
If you want to have a bit more control over your accenting try alternate picking. It is a lot harder to accent notes with sweeping.
I tend to use musiciansfriend.com when I'm linking to stuff, which I can assume has just about everything GC has
Owned by the same company, so yeah, more or less.
I would play it as it comes to me naturally and don't ask silly questions
What comes to me naturally isn't working at higher speeds. Don't be a prick just because I am not as skilled as you.
What comes to me naturally isn't working at higher speeds.
Play it slow until you can play it perfectly (but slow) and then speed it up little by little.
just because I aren't
wut
Play it slow until you can play it perfectly (but slow) and then speed it up little by little. wut
Fuck. It used something along the lines of "they aren't" I edited and obviously did a shitty job.
All good. Just slow it down until you can do it.
This is my guitar. It's an Epiphone Les Paul Florentine: However, I've been looking for a new guitar lately. I've been GASing for a Electra 2242 pretty bad. A cheap but high quality Les Paul clone that generally sells for under $500. <3 I played one at a local music store once and loved it. It felt perfect, had no noticeable flaws, and sounded fantastic. :D

That guitar is absolutely gorgeous
That thing is sexy.
Very. I need to throw new .11s on it, though. The current strings have been on for a bit too long. >_> Anyways, it sounds amazing with an eBow and heavy delay, nice warm tone plus near infinite sustain. <3
Dear god what do you drink? A typical bottle of anything decent is at least $30 per, if not $50-$60 per. Anyway, back to guitars...I've been looking into a cheap acoustic for a while now, wondering if anyone had any experience with Epiphone's low-end acoustics. Just looking to see if they're playable at all, not looking for anything special.
disgusting wine that comes in a sack. There's a lot of it for a small price [editline]04:46PM[/editline] wow maybe I should play for longer considering everyone else. Although I'm in my final high school years so I have a lot of stuff to do
also quick question will I damage the neck of my electric if I leave it with four strings on it for awhile? [editline]10:45PM[/editline] shit double post, it's a glue in neck as well. I have the other strings, but I'm missing a G so I haven't got around to it yet
also quick question will I damage the neck of my electric if I leave it with four strings on it for awhile? [editline]10:45PM[/editline] shit double post
Depends on your strings. If you have thick, heavy strings most of the time, then yeah. If you have thin strings it won't be as bad if at all.
I have the heaviest ones on it atm, and I mean low e, a onwards I've got the sixth, fifth, fourth and third or EADG if that's what you want
Leaving strings on for a couple days will not damage your guitar. It's a stupid rumour with little basing in fact
