Ibanez RG7620/7420/7621/7421. All are made in Japan and are quality instruments, equivalent to a typical low-mid range Prestige such as the 1527.
The RG7620 is practically an RG1527 with a slightly better trem and stock pickups, and many argue it has a better neck. Should be able to pick one up used for around 450USD.
The 7421 is the cheapest out of the lot but still basically the same build quality, just fixed bridge. Same neck as the 7620. They're around 300-400USD
That RAN looks fucking gorgeous.
Also guys, looking to get a seven string, got about 170ish quid so I'm checking gum tree, and I have found a Washburn 7 and a Schecter demon 7, but If I somehow managed to get together 400 quid I could become the proud owner of an ibby RG1572 Prestige
Opinions?
...Get the Prestige!
That shouldn't even be a question, just save up. Definitely worth the jump in quality.
...Or what's above me (Ninja'd with moar quality)
Yeah but saving 400 quid would take me bout 3 months :saddowns:

Wipped this shit up at 1:00 in the morning. I woke up and listened to it and I'm iffy about it. I need a second opinion on wether or not to dump it on the whole or continue it.
I can't really make out what is going on at all in the song so I can't really give you an opinion.

Holy crap how low are your strings tuned to?
Also, I haven't tuned my guitar for 3 months. Its still in tune. I'm so proud.
:hurr:
Ye im not surprised. I'll improve the audio qualtiy and upload it again. Like I said it was a quick whip up. Also I'm using a 7 string tuned to G standard. so thats C standard on a normal 6 string
Finally got my Epiphone Les Paul Studio Deluxe Limited Ed. ordered for store pick-up.. I could of gotten the standard studio right there, as they sound the same, it's just a difference of finish. But hey, I should drop my money on what I want, right?

Someone do an awesome battle speech to learn the solo part for Wish You Were Here.
Just scored myself a RAN :c00lbert:
Even though before about a day ago I'd never heard of RANs. I hate rosewood fretboards though, the look of them more than anything else.

Just use ebony dye if it's a dealbreaker, trust me when I say you scored fucking BIGTIME with a Ran. And if you try and sell it I will kill you

Yeah I've been reading up about dying fretboards. I will most likely do that.
ergh, that was in response to Dopey Trout.
So how many people have those including me, like 3...
I have no clue how rare they are. The guy at the counter said only one was sent to every guitar center and some other retailers, and he said it was a limited run for the new decade.
Depending on how rare it is, I could be a very happy man.

Working on a new OP for V2 because I am bored.

It's apparently a top seller, online anyway. Not sure if that bursts your bubble or what.

Read my post, you can get a guitar that's practically a 1527 (in fact it's arguably better) for about half the price, or less. They even come in the same damn colour.
Here's a 7620, mine :buddy:

Just read an article about this guitar in a Dutch guitar magazine, they're amazing.
it's beautiful, but I still don't like it :v:
[editline]05:19PM[/editline]
today I witnessed my friend yet again take apart his squier strat in an effort to "customize" it by somehow colouring in the pick guard. I don't think he knows anything about painting guitars.
He had a legend silver burst les paul, and he just duct taped up all the pickups/hardware and spray painted it.
So today, as I played GTA on his bed he took the pickguard off and looked at me dumbly when he pulled it up and the pickups were hanging off it.
lol

I'm liking the amount of detail on it and the fret inlays are nice too.
I was trying to learn eruption (just for the hell of it), and the fucking high string action on my padauk Ibby S was stopping me from hammering (namely pull offs) properly, and It can't be set any lower. I took the neck off, obliterated it, and am making a new one out of Honduras mahogany and some ancient mystery wood fretboard (looks like some species of very hard rosewood I've never seen before). I'm also going to be installing a black strat trem on it. It's going to be my mod mutt :3:
Hypno if I wanted to dye a rosewood fretboard so it looked ebony, how would I go about doing that? And what dye would I use?
Ew. Dyed rosewood.

Could always look for stains elsewhere, since you're in Britain I can't point you anywhere in particular. I can't guarantee anything you use won't be pure garbage.
Not sure how you'd go about applying it.. can't guarantee it'd go over too great. You should just leave it.. dyeng rosewood is pretty tacky anyways.
Yeah I might just leave it, it's quite hit or miss whether it will work or not, and I don't want to mess something up and ruin the guitar.
I don't even know how this happened, guess it's time for new strings.. any recommendations? I never bought strings for electric guitars.

You should probably replace them all together, I'd reccomend finding out what guage the stock strings are.

Maybe it's the lighting, but your other strings look extremely dirty aswell. Go and buy a pack of regular steel strings, like these for example:

And change all your strings. Change them one at a time to keep constant pressure on the neck.

D'Addario strings are good all-round srings. My gauge of choice is 10 for standard tuning, but most guitars come stock with 9s.
Ernie Ball Slinkies are good. I have Super Slinkies on my bass and they're nice, however I cannot speak for the guitar version.
Yeah, replacing them all is a good idea.
