Guitars :downs:
20/16, 13/8, 27/16 and 15/8 are badass as well.
Maybe it's just having been raised playing classical, but I can't take any of that shit seriously. It's just going to get notated differently based on phrasing anyway. A 15/8 phrase is probably just going to end up written as 6/8 6/8 3/8 or 5/8, unless you're going really fucking nuts.
That does sound cool
It's ridiculously fun to play

Usually that's how it is but 15/8 makes it seem a bit neater, as well as being a bit of force of habit I developed from counting syncopated rhythms in 4/4 as 3/8 3/8 2/8, for example.
And I have a habit of writing parts in different divisions of the same time, in a way, i.e. 2 bars of 5/8 on guitar, one bar of 5/4 for bass, and 4 bars of 5/16 on drums, which line up but to count it all as 5/4 would be a massive headache
[editline]03:18PM[/editline]
That and I was half joking :v:
Anyone here used fractional time signatures? I only recently discovered they exist.

Well sure, everybody does that.
Parts of Mars are in 3/4 and 5/4 at the same time just so the conductor doesn't have to worry about them fucking euphoniums ruining everything.
eh...
Poor example. Stravinsky is to classical what Merzbow is to everything.
My Limited Ed. Epiphone Les Paul just came in. I'm going to the store later to pick it up.
Nice

Alright, wasn't sure if that would constitute as a polyrhythm, but makes sense
This CD makes ear training COOL!
By the way, me and my friend are having a hard time trying to get his bass and my guitar to sound good when we do shit. Its either ones to lowed or the tuning for my guitars not right for how the bass is tuned. I have no idea.
Issue is likely the intonation. But first make sure that all the strings are in tune. Play the string open string and check the tuning and then play the 12th string harmonic. If they are differently tuned then the intonation is off, meaning that the string note is tuned, but all the other notes are off because of the string length. To fix it, just look up a guide, it is pretty easy to do. But before doing that, get a tuner if you don't have one and make sure both guitars are in tune. Don't do ear tuning for now because the tuner will be more accurate.
Alright, Epiphone Les Paul Studio Limited Ed. came in today. Pics ahoy:

Here's a quick cover I did of the rhythm part of Wish You Were Here, sorry I didn't get in the solo or the second chorus, still learning and practicing those parts.

I run mine through a Peavey Vypir 15

Yeah, I've been thinking about upgrading, but if I did I would have to factor in the cost of pedals because I can't live without my effects. I saw some very, very nice Marshall amps around $100 when I went to pick it up, throw in a flanger and a metal distortion petal and I'm set.

Marshall+more distortion.
Marshall@$100 sounds like an MG-series to me, which nobody should buy.
I say get the Vypyr or find a 60+ watt Crate you like. Either way you can't go wrong.
ahh you got the poster of a Casino aswell.
I got an Epiphone Dot recently because I could't afford a Casino, I thought they were just teasing people who bought Dots.
Sigh, I'm getting really tired of this. I'm a left handed player and I'm looking for a good quality guitar. At the moment, I have an Epihone Les Paul Standard Plus which is really a decent guitar for its price. But I want something better. I first wanted an Ibanez JS900, not too expensive and a great guitar, but then I found out they only made a left handed version of the JS1200 which is $2000+. Same goes any left handed Gibson. Then I came along an American Standard Strat for a good $1000. A fair price for a great guitar. The only thing that bothers me is the single coil in the bridge position. I usually play (heavy) rock and blues so a single coil won't always satisfy my needs. So basically I'm looking for a left handed HSS Stratocaster (with a humbucker in the bridge position). But then I noticed that Fender doesn't make left handed versions of their HSS strats.
TL;DR Can I replace the single coil in the bridge of a stratocaster with a humbucker without too much trouble?
[editline]01:10PM[/editline]
Or suggest me a good left handed guitar for about $1000 :v:
Strats are pretty much designed to be easily modified. If you buy a US strat then theres a fair possibility that it'll be routed under the pickguard to allow a humbucker in the bridge. However, even if it isn't the scratchplate allows you to just rout out space for a humbucker.
So I posted my story of the free razors on the Epiphone forums, thinking they might know more. Apparently they know more about bad puns than razors:
I think they included the razor after a rash of complaints by disgruntled LP purchasers...
... 'cause you can already use an SG to shave with!

Maybe a subtle way to say they could have "shaved" a bit more off the price??

How sharp of you to say! That's a cutting remark.

Epiphone... 'The Best a Man Can Get

It's clearly because only real men play LPs.

Well if Jimmy page can let rip with a violin bow, maybe its a challenge to see what you can do with a razor. they may have given the coupons so you can practice a bit and break a few.
Hmmm now i want to buy another geet just to see whats in my "showbag

Gibson should include a razor with those "Pearly Gates" reissues, just to mess with people's heads
Another one:
Are you sure you didn't get the new "Slash" model?
Okay I'm just going to buy the POD X3 now, otherwise I'll never get round to it.

Bad? I dunno, man, most of those jokes seem a cut above.

Try a Vypyr 30 watt and a Sampera II effects pedal.
It's a $400 setup, but it saves you a couple hundred on stomp boxes.
RobChappers is making a new affordable guitar, this time a single cut:

Where does he get his shit manufactured?
I was considering the ML1 until I read complaints that the QC was horrendous and the necks were made really crappily.
He seems like a giant douchebag
