Seen it. Can't fucking wait. Heard like 6 of the songs when they were on youtube before they were taken down. ALREADY PREORDRED.

...I'm not sure how I'd find a diagram for the X2N, Which wires in particular do I need to look for when if I just wanted it wired as a humbucker?
No, I meant what you wired.
I use 0.12s and they work pretty well. May I ask what you're planning to play?
I just got 0.12s to play low tunings, I play in C# standard and drop B (basically the same thing) most of the time nowadays. 0.12s sound so beefy and full in comparison to my old strings, I always used to play with 0.09s for some reason.
Also if I was a rich fuck I would buy a gibson robot guitar, mostly as a gimmick, a little fun experiment, not a serious guitar, but I would still buy one, if I were rich.

.12's or .13's. Might even want to consider a thin bass string as the low B if you're playing that low all the time.
If you plan on changing anywhere near D or E standard, get .11's so you can stay in tune decently well at drop-B but not kill yourself (or your guitar) playing in D or E.
I usually play in 3 to 4 types of tunings. E Standard for anything acoustic or Metallica, D Standard for rare occasions on songs like Sad But True, Drop C for System of a Down and Drop B for Slipknot.
I mostly play E Standard but if I get strings suitable for Drop B I might play more of that. But yeah I still want to be able to play standard etc
So I should get 11's then?
(answered 5 days late because I forgot I posted that :downs:)

I play it like:
e - 1
B - 1
G - 2
D - 3
A - X
E - X
Or:
e - 1
B - 1
G - 2
D - 3
A - 3
E - 1
I got a picture of the internals... I'll try and explain it to the best of my ability.

Obviously the big gray wire comes from the pickup itself, the green cable going to the pickup selector, the red bit of cable is actually the red and white cable grouped together. Sorry I couldn't be of much more help.
Was going to take the pickguard off my Casino today, but I can't find the right size screwdriver around the house.
I actually like the pickguard -it adds a bit of variety to the otherwise plain cherry red guitar- but the Epiphone 'E' on it has started peeling off. I figured I'd take the pickguard off so I didn't knock it off while playing, and glue it back down in the future.
Without the pickguard, it might look a bit bare - but I think if I do put a Bigsby on it, it'd look pretty cool.
Wow, a full day without any posts in this thread. I'm ashamed.
Anyways, my parents are taking me to buy a slide tomorrow.
Well i got a les paul copy from a local store :D.Sounds great also just learnt the intros to hard as a rock and hells bells from acdc.

Okay, first of all. Do you want it to be able to be coilsplitted?
If so, solder it according to this diagram.

If you want two humbuckers (Or one) and no coilsplit, solder it according to this diagram.

Or this one if you only want one tone and one volume.

God I love Seymour Duncan.

I just learnt this song just because of the music video.
Its not hard or anything, but its pretty fun and damn that's a good music video and a good song too.
My Yamaha Pacifica 112v just arrived, it sounds so much better than my previous guitar, and this will be my bigger motivation to play.

The neck of this guitar is just awesome, it does not strain my hand, and I can easily reach frets.
I have made up my mind, I'm going to buy the Line 6 Pod X3 Live.
Also, I'm also thinking of buying a wah pedal, tips?

how 2 start learning guitar?

Guitar lessons, definitely. Books and stuff do help, but nothing can replace a good year or so of lessons. You'll pick up quick.

Just whipped up this ill ass shit today. Don't know what to do with it.
Go the teacher route. I learned on my own and so do a lot of other people, but I can bet that I'd be playing a lot better now if I started with a teacher.
Can you guys help me out with this project I'm working on?
http://www.muziboo.com/Kookygoose/music/improv-1-wip/
I'm happy with the beginning, the chords not so much.

You know, for v6 we should move this thread to the CC. It would get more visitors, and we could technically fit in there. People post songs in there, people post about the stuff they use to make art. Instruments can be used to make art, a la music.

I believe it fits in music better. CC is for photos, stuff like that, but that's my opinion.
Guys, I'm in the process of making a DIY TS-808 Tube Screamer, I can't find a kit anywhere, it's fairly simple i just need the parts for it... I've used google, etc, can you please help me if you have any diy sites?
Have you tried buildyourownclone?
If I wanted to start playing a 5 string bass in C standard, would I need to get a lighter set of strings since I would tune it up a whole step, or would it matter?
I ask this because I currently play it in drop c, and I had to tune a few strings up two steps.
how 2 start learning guitar?
Pretty much what the guy with the bender avatar said. But at the start learn chords (open and then bar chords). then learn a few easy riffs and progress from there. Just keep at it for a few months and you will get better. in a few years you could be in a good pub band if You end up heading that way.

You can tune .045-.105 1½ step higher. Maybe even two, but the string tension would warp your neck.

You could just get a 5 string set which is made to be used with a high C string like you get on a 6 string bass, then tune down from E standard.
Just got my POD X3, it's awesome.
