So I've been looking at new guitars to buy, right now I've got my 1970 Gibson SG Jr. I want to get an acoustic, similar to my dads, which is a 1976 Aria. My budget pretty much maxes out a $400. As far as acoustics, I went and tried some at Guitar Center, and so far really like the Fender Acoustics. What's your input FP?
I'm going to tell you exactly what anyone else would tell you
what kind of music do you play/listen to
also you're going to be the one to make the final choice
So yesterday I saw one of these, which the guitar store owner said was probably the rarest guitar in exsistance. It was a Gretsch, and apparently only four were ever built, it looked like this:

Enjoy your back problems.

It's not horrible
It still not mindblowing cosmetically

It's pretty cool. Made me realise that a regular Duo Jet with 12 strings would look awesome.
I wasn't going to buy it guys, it was £2.5k!

Get a keyboard and become an electro gypsy.
Otherwise,if your looking for fender acoustics, the Fender CD-60 is highly recommended and comes in at the bottom of your price range.

The Fender CD 280S is very nice, but comes in at a higher price:

I keep feeling as though that the sound a guitar makes can be written in a real language, not in the sense of tabs or musical notation, but abstract words. I can make out abstract words from the Stairway to Heaven solo, and a lot of other guitar parts and I feel like I could write these words down, but I can't.

I doubt it's the "rarest guitar in existence", aside from that, I'm not really in to dual neck guitars. But I can see why that'd appeal to some people.

That's fucking cool
In about a week I will be the proud owner of Seymour Duncan Basslines Quarter Pound SPB-3 P-bass pickups.
One thing I didn't know is that Steve Harris uses them so that's a welcome surprise. Not bad for £70. Will post pics when the work is complete
What happened to the old pick ups?
Nothing, but they're pretty shit. I'm keeping them though in case I want to sell my current bass or get a hold of a better one, so I can shove the old pickups in and transfer the Seymours to the new bass.

Jackson DK-2! I play lots of metal and go through Marshall amps at studios and live concerts etc so I think the Seymour Duncans will be fine and the FR tremolo makes me warm inside. 655€, what do you say?

Great choice.
The model with the Dynasonic single coils is my current "dream guitar that is possible to attain".

Anyone have experience with Agile guitars? I've been looking at getting a Interceptor 727 for a while now and I need to know if they're worth it. I need a guitar that's Djentier than my Custom Strat and I'm on a budget since getting my bass.

My Jackson.

I bought a 30" Interceptor recently. Pretty fucking solid guitar! Feels like it should have cost a lot more than it did. I'm not saying you couldn't tell the difference between it and, like, an RGA420Z, but it feels pretty damn close.
My only gripes with it so far are trivial. Cheap-ish tuners, but they're okay. And the fact that there's not really enough room in the back for a second 9v, so making an 18v mod on those EMGs is kinda a bitch. You have to be willing to disconnect the battery harness, take the wires back into the control compartment, and then have your batteries just kinda hanging out next to the volume pot. Or have somebody put in a bigger battery case. Or put in different pups. So it's a pretty minor thing, unless you absolutely adore the sound of an 18v 707 and can't afford 707-Xs.
Oh, and the control compartment cover seems a smidge poorly cut. So, yeah, extremely minor gripes. No real complaints, would buy another (or intend on buying an LP clone next, rather.)

Thanks for the advice. I'm more of a passive pickup person in general so the battery problem doesn't really matter to me. Hell, if I like the guitar enough I might even rip out the active electronics and put in a set of Bareknuckles. I'm also loving the fact that so many of their guitars are neck-through.

What's the point in 18v pickups? More gain?
