Do you guys prefer Ibanez or ESP?
Depends on what you want, doesn't it? I couldn't say I really like one or the other because neither have anything I'd use stock, apart from some stuff that would be cool to own but I've no intent to buy.
Are licensed ESP Floyds any good?
AFAIK they all use 1000s or Specials, so...maybe. The 1000s are Korean, the specials are Chinese. Never heard good of either, but I've never heard complaints about the 1000s.
I know a guy that has specials, he likes them.
Do you guys prefer Ibanez or ESP?
ibanez paul gilbert joe satriani and steve vai don't play ESP :v:
Ok, so I recently came into some money and was planning to buy some effect pedals. My budget is $125 dollars. I definitely need an overdrive, but if there is some budget left I think it would be nice to pick up a delay or something. Any ideas?

This changes what you should get entirely. For distortion the lightest and heaviest distortion you plan on needing is important to know.

I'm want to be able to be heavily distort it, but I want the tone and sound of my guitar to still come through. [editline]03:52AM[/editline] If I just get an overdrive, I was looking at this: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Ibanez-TS9DX-Turbo-Tube-Screamer-Effects-Pedal-100447470-i1124252.gc
ibanez paul gilbert joe satriani and steve vai don't play ESP :v:
No, but Devin Townsend, Stephen Carpenter, Page Hamilton, And Kirk Hammett do.

I'll be playing lots of Metal, particularly Shred. Which has the best neck?
Lol, if you don't know what neck you prefer I have a hard time believing that you are able to "shred".
I have enough to buy High end models of Both brands, I haven't actually played either besides my Ibanez RG350
I have enough to buy High end models of Both brands, I haven't actually played either besides my Ibanez RG350
Seriously dude just go to a fucking store and try an ESP and an Ibanez out.
I'll be playing lots of Metal, particularly Shred. Which has the best neck?
It's down to personal preference. Loomis shreds on a Schecter, I like Ibbys, although I don't really shred that much nowadays.

Okay guys, need help. How do I only strum say.. G and A string only by using a pick. Or G and E. I'm mainly a bassist but when I play guitar I have to use my fingers on songs such as Fade To Black, Stairway to Heaven or Nothing Else Matters etc. At the moment I use all of my fingers to strum. I use my thumb to pick A and E. Middle, index, ring and pinky to do the other strings. I see shit like The Day That Never Comes and how its G and A together. So yeah, basiacally how do you guys play songs that are like that?

Like the thumb on the E string and the index/middle on the other? If you absolutely must strum, then you're gonna have to mute the strings inbetween. Just place your left finger on the string like you normally would, but press it softly.

Oh ok. Then you don't have much choice other than muting.
