:( There's heaps of cool bands that I want to go for warped but it will never happen, regardless there are some bands going to this I want to see, mainly Mayday Parade and Protest The Hero I think I See Stars are going and I think everyone here hates them Also what does the guitar population of FP think of asking alexandrina? I think they're really gimmicky and all my friends love them. Thoughts?
Sorry If I wasn't making sense, its only 8 o'clock and I'm extremly tired. Here is a tab I was reffering to. [editline]11:04AM[/editline] Only heard like 2 songs though.

If this is hard you can use the third finger to mute it too.
Okay guys, need help. How do I only strum say.. G and A string only by using a pick. Or G and E. I'm mainly a bassist but when I play guitar I have to use my fingers on songs such as Fade To Black, Stairway to Heaven or Nothing Else Matters etc. At the moment I use all of my fingers to strum. I use my thumb to pick A and E. Middle, index, ring and pinky to do the other strings. I see shit like The Day That Never Comes and how its G and A together. So yeah, basiacally how do you guys play songs that are like that?
The Day That Never Comes uses lots of octaves. Press your index finger hard against the root note, and lay it gently over the rest of the frets like you were barreing it, and then place your ring finger on the second note, on the g-string. Strum and try to move your hand away from the strings after you strum past the g-string.
Also what does the guitar population of FP think of asking alexandrina?
You know how everybody makes fun of weeaboos for listening to those hideous bands from Japan? The ones that tend to suck because they're all just pale weirdos doing really lame chugging on some low stagnant nonsense with horrible atonal vocals and laughable lyrics? And all their music videos are the same generic warehouse full of garbage and filmed with desaturated colors? I have to imagine that somewhere in the east, a kid who watches bootlegs of Venture Bros. and speaks terrible english is ridiculed for listening to AA in the same fashion.
So i've been playing for 1 and a half years (more like a year and 7 months or something) and last year my dad said he'd get me a new guitar for my 16th. I'm still using a strat ripoff - you know, like, a ~$200 guitar. I still think it's really comfortable. My birthday's approaching and i'm thinking. Should I get a new guitar, or a POD X3? I really don't mind my guitar. Only thing I dislike is the pickups.
Get a new guitar anyway. A strat knockoff is a fucking disgrace.
So you'll never play a superstrat?
Get a new guitar anyway. A strat knockoff is a fucking disgrace.
Problem is, my parents don't have unlimited monies.
what I've just realised is that the new pickups I'm getting for my bass only cost £10 less than the bass itself wat
Nice Guitars! i post mine when i get them.
what I've just realised is that the new pickups I'm getting for my bass only cost £10 less than the bass itself wat
The EMG's I want for my guitar are practically as expensive as the guitar itself. Good hardware costs ALOT compared to inexpensive instruments.
Wait wait, what if I put some EMG 81/85's into my strat knockoff and got the POD X3? My guitar does have humbuckers. That's the only difference between it and a beginner Squire.
Superstrat?
Think he means a Stratocaster Knockoff such as Squier
Wait wait, what if I put some EMG 81/85's into my strat knockoff and got the POD X3? My guitar does have humbuckers. Plus if you put EMG's into that guitar you'll likely have to re-size the pickup holes and route a hole into the back of the guitar for a battery door.
Think he means a Stratocaster Knockoff such as Squier
I see
I've been at an American summer school for the past few weeks, where I've been hiring a Squier Strat, and I have to say, it's pretty outstanding. I've used it for practice every day, along with three gigs (two jazz, one rock) where it performed without fault. I've always knocked Squier, but that guitar has shown me how good some of their stuff can be.
You can hire a guitar? How much do you pay it? I remember one time I hired an Ibanez RG120 and I found it doing lines of coke right before a gig.

It's the Affinity and Bullet series that catch all the shit, but that's also the majority of their products.
Affinity squiers are shit. The rest are fine
So you'll never play a superstrat?
I said strat knockoff, not remotely strat-inspired guitar.
