There's heaps of cool bands that I want to go for warped

but it will never happen, regardless there are some bands going to this I want to see, mainly Mayday Parade and Protest The Hero

I think I See Stars are going and I think everyone here hates them

Also what does the guitar population of FP think of asking alexandrina?

I think they're really gimmicky and all my friends love them.

Thoughts?

When I play this riff I hold it like it is a power chord, except I remove the third finger and let the first finger mute the middle string. If this is hard you can use the third finger to mute it too.

The Day That Never Comes uses lots of octaves. Press your index finger hard against the root note, and lay it [i]gently[/i] over the rest of the frets like you were barreing it, and then place your ring finger on the second note, on the g-string. Strum and try to move your hand away from the strings after you strum past the g-string.

You know how everybody makes fun of weeaboos for listening to those hideous bands from Japan? So i've been playing for 1 and a half years (more like a year and 7 months or something) and last year my dad said he'd get me a new guitar for my 16th. I'm still using a strat ripoff - you know, like, a ~$200 guitar. I still think it's really comfortable. My birthday's approaching and i'm thinking.

Should I get a new guitar, or a POD X3? I really don't mind my guitar. Only thing I dislike is the pickups.

The EMG's I want for my guitar are practically as expensive as the guitar itself.

Good hardware costs ALOT compared to inexpensive instruments.

It will still play and feel like shit.
Plus if you put EMG's into that guitar you'll likely have to re-size the pickup holes and route a hole into the back of the guitar for a battery door.

Your guitar still sucks. Save up some money and pick up a nice guitar. It'll pay for itself in the long run.

I've been at an American summer school for the past few weeks, where I've been hiring a Squier Strat, and I have to say, it's pretty outstanding. I've used it for practice every day, along with three gigs (two jazz, one rock) where it performed without fault. I've always knocked Squier, but that guitar has shown me how good some of their stuff can be.

Some Squiers are actually pretty good guitars.
It's the Affinity and Bullet series that catch all the shit, but that's also the majority of their products.
