Well, since I had that problem I might be able to help. What kind of guitar do ye have?
I appriciate it but I fixed it brosef I have a epiphone SG, a G-400 to be exact If it fucks up again, I'd like to know what your suggestion would have been :) [editline]10:25PM[/editline] I read that back and I sounded confusing, basically tell me anyway
I wouldn't know how to fix an SG one, I know how to fix a Telecaster one :v:
What should I get for my birthday? Budget of 100$ tops.
Guitar, amp, bass, or what?
Guitar, amp, bass, or what?
Anything. I play guitar if that helps.
What do you play (genres)?
What do you play (genres)?
Jazz, Blues, metal of all kinds, pretty much everything. I have a fender strat (mexico made standard) and a 30W line 6 spider 3
What should I get for my birthday? Check sevenstring.org or other online sites for sales in their classifieds, I see nice DiMarzios and the occasional BKP go on sale for that kind of money.
The input thing on my guitar was loose, I asked my dad to fix it because he can do things like that he broke it took it to guitar store came back exactly as it went it, with the input still loose :(
I once had that happen, except it was a semi-acoustic, and the input thing fell inside.
So I put new strings on my Strat. The following problem... Rises... The trem is lifting like a mother fucker. How do I solve that?
Open up the back if you still have the cover plate on, and there should be some springs in there holding the trem to something. Chances are, you moved up a gauge or so and it's pulling the strings, and therefore bridge, more than the old strings did. Get another spring in there and you should be good to go
I just made a beat and a bassline in FL studio, and then I played arpeggiated riffs and improvised over it. It was fun :v:
How do I solve that?
Lighter gauge strings. I hate the maintenance and consideration that goes into a tremolo system. Edit: Or just adjust the spring tension, but thats bad for the neck.

So my brother gave me his bass, so I got a bass pick and pretend it's a guitar and so far I'm having tons of fun. [editline]09:13PM[/editline] Ok, so my friend invited me to try out his new recording studio and jam so he can test it and shit. Thing is, I want to go in there and record something original. I've been playing for about a year now, but the most original thing I have done is some improvised power chord progressions. Any ideas on how to work out an original guitar piece?

Anyone know of a good chorus pedal in the 40-70$ range?
Are you in the US?
Nope, Sweden
Aww. Guitar Center was selling DeltaLabs chorus pedals for 70 American dollars. Don't know what that translates to for your currency.

Sing something out loud that you think would sound cool, or just mess around. You'll eventually come up with something.

@nardix: Tighten the screws in the trem claw (the bit that the circle ends on the springs are attached to)
I just bought flatwound strings for my bass. I can't even describe how I fucking love it. Also, I forgot to post a picture of my amp when I posted a picture of my bass twenty some pages ago, So... It's like thunder in a bullet proof box. It's an inch below my belt and I'm 6,2. If I turn it past 4 my windows rattle. It's pretty old; amp wise, I got it for free in one of those "If you move it, you can have it" situations when I helped my old English teacher move. It will probably cranking out music longer than me.
That's a fucking sweet deal
@nardix: Tighten the screws in the trem claw (the bit that the circle ends on the springs are attached to)
More?
That's all there is to it, tighten them until your bridge is sitting correctly and in tune...
Guys, been playing some chords recently My thumb fucking canes as I move up and down the fretboard, and it comes to the point where it becomes too painful to play. How can I overcome this? or what am I doing wrong [editline]10:29PM[/editline] another question for this part of the song it's 10-8b-6/8\6\5/6 for the sliding bit from 6 to 8 to 5 back to 6 do I pick each fret when I slide down to it? Or do I pick six, then that's it just slide down to eight up to six again, down to five and back up to six? confused
