If you want Dimes exact tone you'd get a Krankenstein. Although, from what I've heard of it, for a solid state budget level amp it's not bad, definitely beats a Spider..
Well, Dimes tone really was a Randall RG100ES solid state with a bunch of effects. He never used Krank until his damage plan days.
If it'll make you feel any bit happy, I couldn't afford a cab with it, so I'm saving up for a Marshall haze cab or maybe a Raven... or Randall THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS :buddy:
Honestly I'd get the Peavey cab, or a Mesa cab so I'm halfway to my dream amp setup :D
I should be getting a Jackhammer distortion pedal off my friend today

Don't get a Haze cab for the love of god. Marshall Haze cabs and heads are the most horrific sounding tube amps I've ever used. Raven has a terrible QC reputation too. Personally I would look on the used market for a second hand Avatar cab or something similar. Just go used and you'll be much happier in the long run

If it's not too much trouble, can you record something with it?
Guitar Rig has this Sledgehammer which supposedly models it, and sounds just almost good enough to make me think the Jackhammer would be worth buying, but assy enough to make me not want to buy it without hearing first. And all the demos I can find online are spunk, so...yeah.
It disappears when I touch the strings, and also is there if it's humbucking
So.. yeah :P

And it's 50 here in Poland ;)
Yeah, it's 50 here as well. Sounds better if you ask me.

What cab do you think has a good low end sound to it? or would you not know?

Well I'm playing with a bass but sure.
[editline]04:46PM[/editline]
I'll get the recording done later.
What cab do you think has a good low end sound to it? or would you not know?
Erm, with a pretty high budget.. Orange, Mesa, Mills Acoustics, Fender 2x15 cabs, Marshall 1960BV's are pretty good, Vaders and other somesuch.
My recommendation would be looking on the used market for something of a similar description to the ones I listed. Not to say those are the only good metal cabs, just ones I know which have a good reputation
I'm starting to get sick of my Line 6 Spider amplifier. Basically the only reason I have it is because my dad read some reviews and thought it was amazing. But the cruddy digital sound is really getting on my nerves. I'm thinking of either getting a Roland Cube amplifier or waiting for the Marshall AFD100 to come out. What do you guys think?
Look on Craigslist etc, much better deals on the used market
What cab do you think has a good low end sound to it? or would you not know?
Mesa and Vader*
*: I do not recommend buying a Vader. They are designed for death metal. The added booming lows probably drown out clean and high tones.

Second, just make sure you check the actual price of the item new and eBay used 'cuz Craigslist has hella scammer/scalper/hawker/generalasshatswhosellshitformorethanit'sworth problems.
Tangentially related: I feel like an idiot with my Squier jb knockoff seeing all these used Fender Precisions and Jazzes going for $300 but w/e. And some 12 string Rick monstrosity too.
Right well I recorded the difference, however, Windows Movie Maker isn't letting me save and megaupload isn't letting me upload.
You could just do an mp3 or something and put it on Tindeck or Dropbox.
Some pages back I was excited to buy my new prs baritone guitar! And now I got it! (well since a week already) And I recorded 2 small riffs, fastly set up the mxr 10 band EQ I use and wanted to check it out. This is how it sounds so far :
http://soundcloud.com/dekay-snug/prs-mm-baritone-small-distortion-test
Definitly check the 2nd riff out (after the little break in the track), you can judge better from that one.
Tell me what you think about it
Edit:
Also tell me if you want to hear full songs (with drums, bass and the new guitar) I will record some small simple songs/soundchecks till I buy some 5 string bass (soon) and then I finally come to record my full album! With full quality
Over the last two days, my acoustic has felt really... heavy. The action has always been high, and the strings tight. But it's just been worse than ever, my fingers are actually really hurting, which is unusual, as I have played this guitar for 3 or 4 hour periods and been fine before.
Any ideas? already at lowest gauge strings

Maybe coldness did tighten up the woods and the strings?
[editline]01:22AM[/editline]
Try to warm up the strings a bit before shredding and destroying your hand with the tight strings.

ok awesome now give us some clean bluesy riffs with that baby.
And again?
http://tezzanator.net/amps/
Prove to me it's that bad ;)
In all honestly or any amp I have found the valveking to sit in a mix the best, followed closely by a plugin (I forget the name, It's just a simple Amp+Cab sim, not a full effects suite like Guitar Rig)
you could of gotten a much better amp for the same price.
also that sounds incredibly digtal-y
Oh hi, Feel like being an ass again?
No takers? - I suppose Line6 amps aren't /that/ bad then.
You asked people to play a game of "pick the amp" on a bunch of horrible recordings playing different shit, some clean, some not with different (and often crappy) articulations.
There are no takers because everything in that directory sounds like ass.
Have fun, I'm gone since you are so rude.
For Christ sakes you didn't even tell us which one is which, and you did something different with every recording. It would of been neighbor impossible to pick them all out.
Only variables here are player and slight inaccuracies with mic positioning and the experience of the person using said amp.
Only variables here are you not playing the same shit twice, using random microphones, having a shitload of background noise and in a couple what sounds like a grounding problem. Right now they all sound like they've fallen off a truck and were recorded in your living room.
Comparing amps to amps is something you do in a studio or isolation box, of which it's apparent you have access to neither.
If you like, I'll go reamp my collection of amplifiers with a Radial Re-Amp and play the same thing through all amps at the same volumes all dry, I garantuee you still will find an excuse.
Since you're obviously not capable of making a clean recording of anything, don't bother.
For Christ sakes you didn't even tell us which one is which, and you did something different with every recording. It would of been neighbor impossible to pick them all out.
He's trying to do a blind test. Which makes sense in context, it's just being laughably executed.
I take what you said personally, And I hope you know I am hurt.
FWIW: I do have an Iso box and know how to use one, I had to put together something with what I had on hand: A Hell load of Live and Studio multitracks; Which In my opinion puts it into a more lifelike context, are you saying every time you play it's going to be exactly the same circumstances?
I tried my best to find the most relevent samples I could, To be honest the line6 was recorded in the most clinical way, It should of stood out like birdshit on a black shoo.
Well, you're the one asking for our opinion
It's not like we're dying to help
Oh god I love my parents sometimes, they offered to pay my new guitar as a thanks for helping them paint their house, clean their car and stuff.
 ya ma.

I asked for an opinion on the material, not on my general percieved skill of sound..., Nor did I ask for a "You are incapable of X Dont bother" - Personal attacks are just low.
