My friend told me string locks are a pain in the ass to tune, Is that true?
In short Yes. Once you learn how to do it thought it isn't so much a pain in the ass, it's just like... a nuisance.
My friend told me string locks are a pain in the ass to tune, Is that true?
Eh, a locking nut guitar isn't THAT bad to tune, but any floating bridge guitar is a pain in the ass to tune.
I ended up getting a Damien FR.
Congratulations, you are not an idiot. :waycool:
Since the company I've been renting a bunch of gear from are massive fuck-ups, I've decided to start renting from a local business that only stocks Peavey amps. Which amps should I be looking at?
How does the 6505+ combo stack up comparatively to its full size counterparts?
Unfortunately that I can't answer since I've never heard a 6505 combo, but I can say that the 6505 is the new version of the 5150, so it still couldn't possibly be a bad amp.
I've never heard good tapping on a bass, it always totally farts out
There are some shitty sounding tapped bits Ive heard, but if used properly it can sound really quite good. Though I tend to play my bass somewhat like a chapman stick with substantially less strings as opposed to say EVH style [editline]04:39AM[/editline] Theres just something about that throaty low bass tone you get with tapping that I just really dig
I've never heard good tapping on a bass, it always totally farts out
2:17 This does have a percussive sound but you must admit how awesome it sounds. I am always amazed if I see a video of Les Claypool playing bass. [editline]5:48PM[/editline] One last try, anyone know something more about this guitar? It is probably around 35-45 old, that is all I know about it.
Just ordered a 1x12 Orange Cabinet to go with my Dual Terror. Perfect for using it at home now seeing as there is a 4x12 VOX cab at the place I practice at and I'm aloud usage of it.
How much do you guys know about peavey bandits? There's loads going on Ebay for great prices, are they good amps?
How much do you guys know about peavey bandits? There's loads going on Ebay for great prices, are they good amps?
I have the Peavey Supreme, which is basically the stack version of their bandit series and I love it so far.

It's probably a cheap Chinese knock off of the real deal.
I need some tips for playing guitar, Could you guys help me?
I need some tips for playing guitar, Could you guys help me?
Learn every technique available to you. Don't refuse to learn a technique because it's too hard or it's not your style. It may come in handy one day.
I need some tips for playing guitar, Could you guys help me?
What do you need help with? If you just started playing give it some time, playing guitar takes a little bit to get used to.
What do you need help with? If you just started playing give it some time, playing guitar takes a little bit to get used to.
i started playing about a year ago, But i have problem with tremelo notes and whammy bars, As well as galloping
i started playing about a year ago, But i have problem with tremelo notes and whammy bars, As well as galloping
I'm not sure what you're issue could be with the whammy bar, if is getting the pitch right you just need to practice with some exercises. For example, play a note, play the note 2 or more semitones from it, and then go for that note with the whammy bar. Same concept as string bending pretty much and eventually you'll have an ear for it. Tremolo picking and galloping are timing issues. Practice slowly with a metronome and pick up speed. Also, read up on some online tutorials and there are plenty of online videos that give tips for certain techniques. Just make sure you are on time before moving up in speed.
