Does anybody know anything about pet diseases? I think my cat is dying. - General

OP please say your cat is okay!

If he's trying to hide or get away, then that means he might be dying. Dogs and cats near death commonly go somewhere secluded or away from the rest of the "pack" (aka you) to die. Happened with my dog, happened with my parent's dogs, and happened with my friends cats.

Any update?

Sounded sorta like the cat might have been having a stroke, if it was dragging itself like that. Also, if they cry like that, something's wrong. When my old cat's heart went, he cried in the most heart-wrenching way ever. He only stopped when he collapsed and died. In the carpark of the vet surgery. They'll only cry if they're in pain. Even if he does look okay to you now, go and get him checked, because that is no way normal cat behavior.

OP is crying over dead cat now, since he has not posted in awhile.

[b]UPDATE ON THE CAT:[/b] I left for school this morning as my parents were taking him down to the vet. He had a Urinary Tract Infection/Blockage. They relieved him with a needle but do not know the cause of the blockage. I'm home now and he's going to stay at the vet for at least another night. However, if we had waited until later today or even just see if it'd go away on its own, his bladder would have most likely burst.

If there wasn't anything wrong with the cat, it wouldn't have been nearly that expensive to go to the vet.

OP, if you insist on getting advice on an internet forum, instead of taking your pet to a licensed veterinarian, you deserve to have your pet die. Man up, or deal with the consequences of being a terrible owner.

He had an eye disease that caused him to develop cataracts at 2 human years of age. I've put fucking eyedrops in this cat's eye twice a day since 2004. As if being sent to an adoption center for the first portion of his life wasn't bad enough, he's blind in both eyes.
