Don't these guys have other friends besides the ones on the goddamned computer?
Yes, I'm camping with my close friends too this summer.
Yes, I'm camping with my close friends too this summer.
Same here, already been camping/hiking with several other groups. It's just nice to meet new people.
Don't these guys have other friends besides the ones on the goddamned computer?
Of course not, people who meet people they know on the Internet clearly don't have friends IRL :downs:
Of course not, people who meet people they know on the Internet clearly don't have friends IRL :downs:
Well man up and bring the whole lot! Everyone is to get annihilated drunk.
Why would I bring my friends to meet Internet people
my uncle says he wants to spread his ashes there when he dies, so after 30 years, I wouldnt go back there unless you wanna get haunted
I had an idea to keep your tent cool if it's really hot outside - attach silver foil to the east side of the tent, reflects the sun off and keeps it cool.
yet it would also reflect back the heat given off by your body. That's how a survival blanket works, so you would run a risk of overheating.
you are probably going to rape and pillage them
yet it would also reflect back the heat given off by your body. That's how a survival blanket works, so you would run a risk of overheating.
but you wont be in the tent in day time. just leave it on when the sun is at peak time and take it off at night
yet it would also reflect back the heat given off by your body. That's how a survival blanket works, so you would run a risk of overheating.
Cover the inside with paper so it doesn't reflect back.
Don't these guys have other friends besides the ones on the goddamned computer?
Hezzy (Organiser) - Live with Hexxeh - Drinking buddy Cosmic Duck - Live with iliketrilobites - Been friend's with for 6 years RawrKat90 - Fiancee

My lightweight expedition tent is dark blue and yet is perfectly cool inside in the middle of summer, perhaps not so great in winter, but still warmer than sleeping under the snow/stars.
We need to have more US meetups.

I am not so vein that I prefer to have things which look better over their convenience. I do have a decent tent, but most tents, decent or not, get hot inside because they act like a greenhouse.
I am not so vein that I prefer to have things which look better over their convenience.
I'm like, exact opposite of this.:v:
I wanna go hiking. Only problem is, we're miles away from the deep lake district, so the only realistic way to get to the mountainous terrain is either by car or bus.
Coniston old man is a few miles away... and takes all of 20minutes to walk up. Who's katherine - 20 years old?
I'm like, exact opposite of this.:v:
I'm not quite like that with clothes though, I don't like looking like a prick in my clothes, but I mean things that I use - like a tent or a car. I really wouldn't mind if my car was bright yellow or something.

Sure I could perhaps see your argument if you had an old icelandic, but the insulation properties work in both directions.. you know it's why you can use thermos flasks to keep things cold and mini fridges to keep things hot.
We need to have more US meetups.
I'm not going to drive a few hundred miles to meet up with 3 people in the middle of Massachusetts. The US is too big for this kind of stuff.
God damn I really wish I could go but finding the right trains for an affordable price (cheapest I can find is £155 return) with a decent travel time (I can't go sitting on a train for 11 hours straight, I just wouldn't be able to bare it). If anyone wants to assist in helping me look for transport, I'll be leaving from the Newquay (NQY) station in Cornwall.

The lowest fare I can find is £80 and that means you sleeping at Euston station overnight.
Eugh, fuck that shit then. I guess an early coach? I'd look but the college internet's fucking up and I can't load barely any pages.
Eugh, fuck that shit then. I guess an early coach? I'd look but the college internet's fucking up and I can't load barely any pages.
Bus to Manchester from Newquay, then train to Windermere works out at £29
Bus to Manchester from Newquay, then train to Windermere works out at £29
What's the departure time on the bus? And are there any changes on the train? I'm kind of forgetful and I'd prefer as little changes as possbile. :frown: And shit, I didn't even consider how difficult it'd be to convince my parents to let me go alone.
This is so exiting, and I'm not even going!

On the way back there would be a change on the train, but again no changes on the bus. The bus arrives back in Newquay at Midnight precisely.
Sounds perfect, and that's totally affordable. Any chance you can PM me some links or what I'm searching for to find this info?
