I'm thinking about coming, looking at the train times I can get to Windermere from Edinburgh return for £30. I'd be getting into Windermere for about 12pm, will there be anyone driving from the station at that time? I still need to ask my folks when we are going on holiday, but hopefully I will be able to come. If I order tickets tomorrow I might not get them in the post until after the deadline, would a confirmation email be enough to be added to the list? I am an experienced Scout (ventures) and so have all the equipment I need, as well as an extra gas stove (and gas I think) that I can bring with me if someone needs a loan. 19 years old.
A confirmation email is fine.

Just get it done ASAP. [editline]11:29PM[/editline] Damn you Bengley
I think most of us coming by train will be meeting at Oxenholme, as trains between Oxenholme and Windermere are every 45 minutes.
Ah yeah I see your point, I'll be getting to Oxenholme for about 10.40am.
Ah yeah I see your point, I'll be getting to Oxenholme for about 10.40am.
Don't worry about arrival time, that was just a general observation before I saw your post.

There are also 2 other people with cars
Wait where on earth is the damn campsite in grizedale exactly anyway?
South of Satterthwaite, about 5 minutes down the road. Twenty minutes away from Grizedale forest visitor's centre and just off the High Bowkerstead Walks trail Here's a streetview picture. Drove past there earlier today, quite a lot of young people were camping there. Also the trees were lovely and green, presumably streetview was taken during autumn
Ok, the website I was just about to book my ticket on has gone down for maintenence. I'll get these tickets booked in the morning :D
I'm also bringing a stove to whoever was asking. Bring your own fuel though.

Thetrainline charge a booking fee and they charge no less for their tickets than if you buy directly from a train operator.
Ok done, who should I pm a screencap of my confirmation to?
Gestapo
Sent. I now have a proper summer holiday :)
Its too bad that this is so far north or i would of come, there should be a southern camp aswell sometime...
Don't try call shotgun in a taxi...
I will miss my Borderlands and Team Fortress. If I can be bothered, then at some point I may buy a butane stove or similar.
Don't try call shotgun in a taxi...
Oh I see what you did there. That was bad, very bad. You're going to to hell.
If I didn't have my fucking irritating dutch accent, and wasn't so shy, I would've come :v:
I fucking love Dutch accents. And Welsh for that matter. And I should be able to get hold of a stove in the next few days.
I bought a very powerful torch, hopefully it will arrive before the camping trip.
Midnight 'bird' watching, eh?
I don't follow
I'm pretty sure Georgie can handle herself and know where her limits are, I know I trust my friends when they say they aren't going to get completely shitfaced, but I don't know about you.
Well if they can't keep on it in the end.
