what will you have with the pasta? not to mention it takes approx. 10 minutes to cook... :P
i think i might bag me a couple of those "breakfast in a can" thingos. and some chocolate.
Of course, tinned food can be eaten cold too so if you cba to start cooking, it's perfect. And, you can cook canned food directly from the can, since it's metal.
but then good luck trying to hold it and eat out of it ;)

is everyone bringing their own stove?
A few people are. Personally I can't afford to buy one now, but I will buy some cooking equipment and just use the fire for cooking if necessary.
righto, actually if there's a fire i can make do with that, i shall just bring a shallow frying pan. who wants me to try and make pancakes?
Yes!
I love pancakes!

They're not too bad.

I'm terrible at making pancakes, as I discovered. :v:
I've got the new thread ready. Will post it now then we can get this one locked.
Have a look at the tinned goods aisle in your local supermarket to get a good idea of what to get. Stuff you can just heat up in a hob is ideal.
I wonder what we're gonna do about washing our pots. I can't remember if they said there were sinks or anything like that. I guess we could always use the shower?
Also I am quite worried that no-one has actually said anything about what they actually want to do while we're there. Do you guys want to go on walks, sight see? Go on the boats? Etc
Off the top of my head, this is what there is to do in and around Grizedale:

Go Ape rope course (costs like £30)

Multiple walking routes around Grizedale, some overlap and all are varied

Lakeside Aquarium

Lake Steamer (not scat)

Various museums scattered within an hour's driving distance, such as Lakeside Railway and maybe the Beattrix Potter museum?

Presumably boat rental

Booze
What do you think? Can anyone add anything onto this? Perhaps bring a football or a cricket or rounders kit and have a few games?
