I was kinda hoping I could buy it for like 50 bucks as a novelty, not really to use.
the sensor is also so super tiny and apparently the lcd screen is laggy and it has a 1 shot raw buffer and takes like 15 seconds to write a raw
i had a tiny tiny digital camera ages ago, it had a tiny pop up view finder and even with that extended it was only like 3 finger widths x 3 finger widths
[editline]18th January 2014[/editline]

One of my friends has a paracord camera strap..
...the strap itself is heavier than the camera :v:
There's a nice 35mm f/1.8 on it tho

Whats wrong with stock strap? When shooting for a long period wrap it around your wrist as safety, when u done or don't plan to keep shooting for a while wrap it around ur neck again.
For that money you could buy a proper compact tripod or IR remote or extra batteries etc.

I don't really understand the attraction in spending $300+ for a camera bag.
They are fantastic bags, especially second hand, I've bought 3 myself, One Leica Combination bag, a 335 and a mystery video camera bag.
all other camera bags (not including the $300+ ones I can't buy) look so goddamn ugly to me and they all scream "I'm full of thousands of dollars of stuff, steal me!!"
Well my new compact camera just arrived...

Good luck getting this past airport security.
I bet it's Russian and slightly radioactive.

Nope its a surveillance camera with a 0.95 lens

If I wanted a camera bag that didn't look like a camera bag I would just buy a messenger bag of some kind and stick a cheaper, smaller camera bag in it. Which is something I've actually done before and works surprisingly well.

Please find a way to somehow take pictures with this thing
i just put my camera under my jacket if i really want to hide it

This might work in a pinch but this means you have no room for lens cleaning equipment, extra lenses, other cameras, film (if you need it for your camera), etc.

I just got an idea, I think you could buy a 5.11 CCW jacket Most of these have MOLLE on the inside of the coat, maybe you could find some lens/camera pouch stuff for MOLLE and wear one of these? Might be a little too bulky.
Never spend $100 to every camera bag. I prefer the canvas one, which is very cheap and not camera-bag-like.
I really want to pick up a Fuji X-100. I played around with a friends and it was a lot of fun to shoot with, unlike my D70. I'm not super big into digital because I don't find it to be a lot of fun but this was a pretty different experience. Anyone have any thoughts or other cameras similar? I'd like to do as much research as possible before buying one or one similar.
The Leica M8/M9 are digital but with the quality of film camera manufacture, I looked at the M8 before deciding on the X100

That's also about a thousand dollar price difference.
I've noticed many people here despise Ken Rockwell for some reason. When I look up lenses, i tend to stumble across his website.
Is there any reason not to like the guy?

After spending some time browsing /p/ on 4chan, he seems to be a praised God who is a joke.

Because he contradicts himself over and over plus he's a die-hard Nikon fanboy. Once went to look for a 35mm comparison and apparantly all the Nikon optics, even the cheap new ones, are better than a Carl Zeiss. After looking at the comparison shots I left his website and never returned.
So he's just not to be trusted?
