Looks like a more expensive X-E2 with a flippy screen and ISO dial.
Looks like a more expensive X-E2 with a flippy screen and ISO dial.
sounds like the t3i (what I mean is that the t3i is basically a t2i with a flippy screen and manual audio controls which some years later came to the T2i because of magic lantern)
No 24p?
does anyone know how they measure camera estimated battery life? because a nikon Df has 1400 shots CIPA and the D5300 has like 550 shots and they are both on the same battery. is it because the d5300 has a flash and they are calculating the battery life with some flash shots in there?

oh, yeah I had a feeling flash had something to do with it. I know if you just were to let a camera run in continuous burst no flash forever (assuming there is no buffer limit or anything) most cameras would let go at least like 1500 or 2000 shots
Shoot. The aperture in my Mamiya 65mm lens is all sticky and doesn't work properly anymore. Wide-open is fine but if I try to stop down, it doesn't stop down completely or at all and overexposes my film :C Kind of a bummer since I shot two rolls of Astia 100F without noticing. I burned through two packs of FP-100C testing all my lenses at different settings until I was confident the others were fine. My 55mm, 90mm, and 180mm is totes okay. Phewwwww. Anybody have any experience with this? I've taken lenses apart before but I've never had to mess with the apertures.
I haven't cleaned one myself, but I've seen recommendations for taking the aperture out, and throwing the whole thing into an ultrasonic cleaner. Easier than taking the aperture assembly apart and reassembling the blades.
also that CL bundle i picked up the other week, between the nikon 50mm, minolta 24mm, soligor 35mm, minolta 100mm, and the two bellows i've made around $495 the remaining pieces aren't worth that much, but hoping to get around $150 total for the rest. really wanna get this a7 dudes.
I want to venture a bit more into photography, but not too much. I have a Nikon Coolpix S6200,which isn't bad and can make some pretty pictures. It's focus (even on manual) is absolutely horrendous though. I'm looking to buy a Fujifilm FinePix S4800,which is really cheap (155 euros) and kinda is a fake DSLR. It has 30x zoom though which I really like. Is it actually good or is somehow secretly shit? Keep in mind that my budget basically is 155 euros so this is kind of my best choice as far as i'm aware.
This camera literally has a red-dot sight :v:

I found out there's a 645N in a store cupboard in a society room. That's the second medium format SLR we have, along with the Bronica. Cool.

that's a p sexy prime [editline]29th January 2014[/editline] does it also work on older Nikon SLRs?
that's a p sexy prime [editline]29th January 2014[/editline] does it also work on older Nikon SLRs?
Nope it's a APS-C lens, so no fullframe coverage.
So crop lenses only fit crop mounts? I first thought crop lenses meant you get the said focal lenght on your crop body.
You can mount this lens on a fullframe body, but it just won't cover the sensor size so you will get horrible vignetting or just cut corners. The 30mm still has to be calculated with the cropfactor. That's how it works.
i want one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kodak-DCS-100-DCS-100-Digital-Camera-System-Genuine-Set-/230816874871?pt=Digital_Cameras&hash=item35bdc20177

Pretty neat for that time.

everyone knows that the sensor's best pixels are in the middle, so that's where you want to keep every subject when you shoot [editline]29th January 2014[/editline] apparently the idea seems to be that it's more for easier tracking of moving subjects at large focal lengths while filming, which makes sense i guess
you can't mount it on a ff body, the mirror will hit the back of the lens
nah, both the old and new sigma 30mm are EF mount, not EF-S the new art one even has pretty reasonable vignetting when mounted on full frame
you can't mount it on a ff body, the mirror will hit the back of the lens [editline]29th January 2014[/editline] rule of cool [editline]29th January 2014[/editline] """cool"""
The only lenses that physically won't fit are the original Canon EF-S lenses. The APS-C lenses of any other third party brand just fits but won't cover the sensor. You could also call them EFS lenses, but they're in fact EF lenses made for APS-C coverage because they don't protude in the body like real EF-S lenses do.
here's a review of the new 30mm being used on a 5dmk2 vignetting is quite visible, but isn't too horrible in most shots (and depending on what you're doing you might be fine with it anyway)
can someone explain how different lenses can render colour differently
Quality of the glass and coating would be huge factors I think but I have no idea how it works in-depth
