Damn I wish the pentax 35mm f/2.0 wasn't so expensive :( I guess the 35mm f/2.4 will do it for me, thanks guys!
If f/0.4 isn't worth the difference in cost for you, the f/2.4 should be fine.
The 35 2.4 is an excellent lens in the Pentax line, I don't have anything bad to say about it. It's light weight, fairly small, cheap yet well built, and its optics are very good. Wide open is very sharp and its colour representation is quite pleasing, but pentax lenses are generally like that
I've yet to see for myself the amazing optics of Pentax glass, the only Pentax lenses I've used was the 18-55 DAL, 70-200 f/4-5.6 on a pentax k-m (pretty old camera). Same to say with the high end Canon, Nikon and Sony lenses. Eventually..
Their standard zooms like the kit lens, and the 70-200, are nothing special. Their primes are very highly praised as with their DA* lenses. I also own the 16-45 f4, and it is excellently sharp. Wish it was faster, but it's fairly cheap.
hence the "I've yet to see for myself"
prob late on this but i just found it and its cool http://shotkit.com/
I know, I was just sayin' man
No worries man :-)
i'm starting up a photo tumblr http://austintrothphoto.tumblr.com/ i want to have photos on it, but i also want to have like general photo resources and articles to help people out. i've got a big pot of knowledge in my brain from research i've done, so i want to make some of the more obscure stuff easily available. any topics recommended that i should cover? i want to do perspective distortion (and crop factor), medium format systems, stuff like that
Sounds good I'm sure the majority of entry level dslr owners don't even know what a crop factor is.
Sounds good I'm sure the majority of entry level dslr owners don't even know what a crop factor is.
"Muh 18-135mm kit lens is wider than ur 24-105mm kit lens!
*rams EF-S lens onto 6D* "WHY ... won't - it - ... FIT??????"
Some people are actually stupid enough to do that and MAKE it fit. This was spotted at a Mediamarkt store in November: I'm sure that has to take a lot of force to get it on there at all.
i don't want to know about these things
oh god
They did make sure to fit a filter on the lens to protect it :v:
meanwhile on dpreview forums

Cringeworthy. I would gladly go and replace one of those scrubs at the photography stands. Get paid for doing stuff with things I like and know about.

Yes
I have 0 idea how to theme I picked the first one I found lol
press the customize button or right click on the text, go into inspect element, change the css and copy those changes into the customize->custom css thing [editline]19th February 2014[/editline] basically get a better theme like i really like my one that's why i use it i mean yeah like http://we-jelly.tumblr.com/ http://am-aman.tumblr.com/
i got it smaller in the initial preview, but it still needs to be full screened and there it is a mess html is hard
that's why css was invented
having websites look good in every browser is hard
if you give me the theme i'll take it, i have no ties at all to this current one i was just too lazy to investigate for one at the moment
if you give me the theme i'll take it, i have no ties at all to this current one i was just too lazy to investigate for one at the moment
http://themes.pouretrebelle.com/ mine is Artemesia, although if you want to have words/organization/long horizontals you probs want a diff one
Is that lens any good (on crop bodies of course)
I'm very happy with it. Definitely worth the money. Also, I recently bought a M42 Adapter and a Zeiss Jena 50mm and it was one of my best purchases ever. It's not the sharpest lens I've had but it definitely produces some very lovely looking images. I should buy more M42 lenses, they're cool.
having websites look good in every browser is hard
Fucking internet explorer. Back in basic web design, I was fairly good and undoubtedly the best in my class (didn't take much), but my websites would always fuck up on Internet Explorer somehow. :v:
