I don't know what I'd do without the land of the pound.

I guess it's cheaper if you develop your own film at home and frequently visit poundland.

manual are cheaper, TTL can be useful but off camera they won't meter that well since the flashes think they are directly mounted on the shoe on the camera (ambient light readings will be a bit off) i have manual triggers that were like $30 and they are alright (cowboy studio), if the TTL ones aren't much more than that it's certainly a good convenience but not worth a ton more money. i'm finding some on amazon for like $300 and it's nowhere near that much of a difference, at that point just get a long wired shoe thing.

i was looking at the yongnuo RF-603n (manual, $30 for 2 transceivers) or the YN-622n ($80 for 2 transceivers)

$80 isn't too bad. would be good future proofing and probably a lot more convenient, just depends on how often you actually use the thing. i've used mine only a handful of time in the last year or so i've had it, so i wouldn't get TTL triggers just because of the price.
