pfff i can just use my mamiya c330 for that instead [editline]19th March 2014[/editline] it's even got a nice big handle that's perfect for lifting
Got to use some field cameras today. Developing is tomorrow, really excited.
Thinking seriously about getting a 40mm f/2 m-rokkor for my a7, then buying a minolta CLE down the line. Thoughts?
Sounds like a good idea. I have a Voigtlander 40mm f/1.4 myself and quite like it on the A7. Nice small combination and works fine on my M3 as well.
Yeah 40mm is an amazing focal length, I ended up trading my Voigt 40mm f/1.4 for a Canon lens from frag4life though as I was in need of some good digital equipment
alright, japan in like 3 weeks or something gonna buy a new camera if i can find one with english menus. people say the 60d is good, i want something with good video options, and not too expensive lenses.. my d3100 is limiting me with 1080p/24fps with no fine tuning whatsoever
Got a LAEA-4 Adapter, and some Sony A mount lenses (including beercan) if anyone is interested!

It looks cute but a regular flash outperforms it in every way.
why
My mom said that flash cubes burnt out in like a few shots
flash cubes burn out after each use so each side has a bulb and it rotates after each photo so you get four flashes per cube. You can see why the modern electronic flash rendered it obsolete almost instantly.
But proper flash bulbs are still used by some people, as they can output shitloads of light but are a pain in the arse to use. The main group of people who I've heard of using them is cavers.
hello does anyone here have a broken trip 35 or pen f or similar olympus camera? if so can i have one of the external screws on the body, the head diameter should be ~2mm and the bit the threads should have a diameter of ~1mm my pen f is missing one of the ones on top plate, making it loose and makes me scared that it's going to fall off in my hands (i think they use the same screws from a visual inspection) [editline]21st March 2014[/editline] thanks x
I got to use a tlr and now i kinda want a tlr because they are so cheap and good but i am afraid of 6x6 negatives! what do I do?
what is there to be afraid of of 6x6 negatives
6x6 is cool, I just think that TLR's are hard to use because of the image being mirrored. That and I prefer 3:2, but other than that 6x6 is great
im afraid of 6x6 because i like the option of landscape or portrait format, but i guess i can just crop when i make prints [editline]21st March 2014[/editline] I think i would get a yashica 124-g if i were to get one
square format is the best its like you make a turner painting with ever shot esp with those cheap plastic chinese tlrs
6x6 is cool, I just think that TLR's are hard to use because of the image being mirrored. That and I prefer 3:2, but other than that 6x6 is great
TLRs also have parallax. Personally if I would like 6x6 I would get either a Mamiya 6 or Hasselblad.
i think i'd use my c330 more if the c-41 120 neopan wasn't discontinued :( feel bad about neglecting it though you talking about using one is making me want to go use mine right now [editline]21st March 2014[/editline]
6x6 is cool, I just think that TLR's are hard to use because of the image being mirrored
i have the prism finder on the c330, that shit's cool yo
I think the built in flash on my d7100 is broken because the shutter wont fire when the flash is up regardless of what mode the camera or flash is set to [editline]21st March 2014[/editline] im gonna guess the water caused this looks like the ordeal is not going to be over as easy as I thought it was
bronica sq-a
im not sure if im bothered enough to fix the pop up flash right now, the only thing I used it for was triggering optical slave on my sb700, so its probably cheaper to just buy a radio trigger. i might get a repair estimate from the local camera place just to see how much it will be
So guys, This is my first time posting here, and this may be the wrong thread, but Ive got a small request. A little less than a year ago, my grandfather passed on, and last week we went up to his place and went through some of his things. I found an old camera, and I know exactly jack about old cameras. [t]http://i.imgbox.com/SNpRsG3B.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgbox.com/5D1chZP2.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgbox.com/2Ci7RU1q.jpg[/t] Can anybody tell me anything about this? I dont know if theres film in it and I dont know how to tell. It kinda sounds like theres something rattling inside. Any help would kick ass.
argus C44 with a 50mm f/2.8 if you were hoping it would be a vintage gem worth thousands you are out of luck [editline]21st March 2014[/editline] http://www.cameraquest.com/argc44.htm tl;dr its apparently a piece of junk but thats is just what I got from reading that page
I keep my expectations low, just wondering what it was. Thanks.
I keep my expectations low, just wondering what it was. Thanks.
After reading what DWT posted I'm really curious about what the pictures actually look like, so I looked it up on flickr That little thing's got some potential. Load up some film and see what comes out!
That little thing's got some potential. Load up some film and see what comes out!
assuming a slightly rusted over, half century old camera still works fine and the rattling inside is just superficial
