Yeah they wouldn't work on the EOS 500. If you are interested in mainly adapting lenses (I would just recommend using them on the native camera system, they will work the best that way) then consider Pentax K1000 (K lenses), Pentax Spotmatic (m42 lenses), Olympus Om10 (OM lenses), and some sort of Nikon system (F lenses). Those will all be adaptable (as will Leica R and Contax but those are super pricey), but you will have to focus without a split prism and by using stopped down metering so it's not too convenient. Nothing beats a native lens for usability.
I don't get how you guys can happily shoot 200 film.
I find it too restricting
i'd happily shoot ektar 25 if it still existed
poundland film is the greatest thing on earth, as far as cost-quality ratio goes it is stellar

Mate it's 4.2p (7c) an exposure.
i like a good bit of fuji superia 200 when the weather's nice
what;s so restricting about 200 film
maybe its the brand i'm using but its never bright enough for it come out well.
I'll try some poundland rolls if i ever find any

That color lens is wasted on black and white film.

Im studying audiovisual directing and im making a film through the procress, thing is, i dont own a camera yet, and i have to shoot at night, mostly.
i have been looking at some cameras, i saw these two

more inclined to the 6d, but an uncle told me this one should be the one i should look for

what do you guys think?
The XF100 is a pretty good all in one solution but a DSLR will result in a more pleasing visual look. If you can, you should go with a 5D MK3 though if you choose a DSLR. From all the canon dslrs you could consider it a GenII Video-DSLR as it got a much better videomode than the other ones.

id like to but the 5d mk3 is too expensive for me. If i had to choose between the 6d and the 70d, what would you say?

The 6d. Fullframe and the sensor is a bit better in low light.
The 6d. Fullframe and the sensor is a bit better in low light.
Thanks. Went ahead and saw some reviews, video footage and everything. I think i will go with the 6d.

I can't believe it's 2014 and there are people who haven't switched to this system yet

ORRR wait for the Panasonic GH4
That thing is going to be epic, coming out in less than a month.
just bringing the non-Canon options to the table haha
Here's a comparison video I haven't watched yet

from the begning you can see the 5D MIII is brighter at the same ISO
comes down to your choice of brand I guess, but the GH4 will definitely be better than any current Canon DSLR, at least until a 7D mII or 5D MarkIV

that price would get pretty high with a decent lens im guessing
I'm wondering what everyone's opinion is on this Lytro's Illum camera.

xf100/xf105 is useless in low light
[editline]23rd April 2014[/editline]
why don't you instead of buying cameras spend the money on hiring lights?
got a 70-200

it's waaaay bigger than I expected it to be, photo's don't do it justice at all. I think it's the white that makes it seem really big
also really heavy
not sure if I regret this already or not, will have to wait and find out I guess

i dont know. the idea of inviting people to shoot with only lights and no camera seems just a little bit weird.

totally missing the point, cool.
you say you're starting a course? surely they don't expect you to own a camera?

Better than their first attempt certainly but the concept is still so software limited and I can't see the point tbh
Im pretty sure panny will release a better lytro type camera some time soon
