So yesterday was kingsday, and with kingsday the city is riddled with flea markets.
I went really early and was in the city before 8 AM to avoid the big crowds, and ofcourse have more selection. At around 10:30 I was heading back home again.
This was my loot for the morning:

I think I did quite well, way better than last year.
I should go to Rotterdam next year, I couldn't find anything photography related in my city :(
i wasnt even home from kings night at 8 am oops
Dammit and I was pretty chuffed with my Praktica super TL2 find today
thinking of selling my 24mm f/2.8 af-d and getting a tamron 17-50 2.8 since that kills 2 birds with 1 stone (kit lens and 24mm)
that would also make it much easier when im going out and having to choose which lens to bring if I only wanna bring one so I dont have to pick between my 24 and 50
That it would. My 16-50 has stopped me from using my 16mm and 30mm on my Nex because it is just more convenient to zoom and the image quality is at least as good. I didn't even use my 50mm 1.7 (got a 1.4 now) much because at 2.8 it wasn't as good as the zoom! Effectively it makes most other lenses redundant, so I shoot for primes that are 2 stops better otherwise there's not much practical advantage in terms of image quality. I've heard great things about the Tamron, and it should be an excellent lens.
That range made me learn to love the zoom
whats the best alternative to bring a canon 6d down here to chile? like in taxes, shipping, all that?
Hey does anyone here have any experience with hahnel third party batteries?
i just bought them but i feel i need a second opinion before i open the packaging
instead of continuing to cry about not having FF i ordered a shitty off brand speedbooster so now i can cry about how it's not good enough
seemed like a good trade imo
It doesn't even have a real name lol
It's known as the "RJ Focal Reducer". The turbo has problems mounting some lenses (namely 3 of the ones I wanted to use), and this one doesn't. There's a new version of the lens turbo but I couldn't find any info on it, and didn't want my lenses to not fit.
If this one ends up sucking a lot I might give it a whirl though
instead of continuing to cry about not having FF
dont worry man theres literally dozens of us
I'll just sit here caressing my 6D with it's thick, hard, 24-105L.
But seriously, I love FF.
ff is just a gateway size first you'll be marvelling at the dof and noise performance next thing u know you're holding up a drive-through clerk to finance ur 8x10 addiction
cameras: just say no
film, not even once

It does get you the most shallow DoF at 24mm and 35mm equivalent focal lengths out of any format. I mostly just want it because I've got a lot of FF lenses, if I had more great APS-C lenses I would stick with that (similarly if I had 645 lenses I'd want that too). Just want a wider perspective with my good wides ;(
APS-C rocks though for macro and tele lenses
'i no longer have a roof over my head but atleast i have that shallow as fuak dof'
"yeah mum, I'm living on the streets! yeah, I guess it could be better but fuck me have you seen my flickr lately?! check out that sharpness!"
should i sell my a7 kit lens to afford a 40mm or 45mm leica lens? Is that smart? Does anyone want it?
if you don't use it you might as well part with it. i hardly ever use my nex native lenses (especially the 16mm, which i mostly keep for sentiment and because it's low value). it is harder to sell kit lenses though, because most people also sell them or buy a kit with one already. they sell gray boxed new from SK for $290
i wish i could get a box and manual for it, its in super condition.
i'm looking at selling it for $300 (its the price difference between no lens a7 and and kit a7)
you guys get first dibs, like anybody wants it! :v:
The XE-2 firmware updated and I thought the EVF couldn't get better but they just made the EVF lag 0.005 seconds, I thought I couldn't detect any EVF lag before but in comparison it's even more like looking through an OVF with nightvision now.
Okay, the time is almost here to get my GH4
I just realized though, I won't have any glass for it.
I'm selling my G6 with the kit lens (which was pretty okay), now all I have left is a Nikon 50mm with converter (100mm equivalent). Oh also a 70-210mm (140 to 420mm).
Now I'll have to wait and save up for a good m43 lens...
any suggestions? I loved the image stabilization that my kit lens had for video
(I do mainly video)
there's an OM Zuiko 28mm f/2.8 coming my way, hopefully getting delivered tomorrow.
it should be free of fungus and dust, working apperture and smooth focus. managed to cop it for 30 euro (6,75 shipping) not bad if it's in near mint condition.
it should look something like this

If you can afford it I've heard the Pana 14-140mm is one if the best super zooms ever made. Also their 12-32mm has gotten quite good reviews for a kit lens
I was looking at the 35-100mm 2.8 because it's also weather sealed
1500 dollars ffffffffffff
might have to wait a few weeks
You should probably get yourself something with a decently wide angle, having your widest lens being 100mm equivalent seems a bit limiting. Also consider the Pana 20mm 1.7, it's one of the best reviewed m43 lenses. The 14mm 2.5 is supposed to be great as well and small
My stuff came early!

if you sell it for $300 you're gonna pay $30 just in ebay fees
