How much for the 85mm A-Mount??
Going to ask here instead of making a thread.
I have a speedlight 380EX flash for my 60D, which was working fine last week, since they I have installed magic lantern on my 60D, and it no longer works. It still goes off when I press the shutter but when I view the image is is as dark as it would be as if there is no flash.
I've tried removing magic lantern, cleaning the flash and camera contacts. Checked and tried every setting in the menus of the external camera flash and it still won't sync up.
The zoom on the flash seems to work, and if I put it on high speed shooting it goes off ever shutter click, just every image is dark.
Flash and camera has fully charged batteries.
what shutter speed are you using?

also there is a world of difference between the 5D2 and 6D in terms of image quality, usability etc. The 6D wins every time. Only place the 5D2 wins is build quality, and even then it's minor
Tried everything from 1/40-1/250.
Shutter speeds I have used before with the flash on.
that's dead strange. you checked the custom functions menu to see if it could be anythng to do with that? could be set to second curtain or s/t
Yeah made sure it's not second curtain, actually tried that as a setting as well to see if it would help. Can't find anything on google about it either.
tried shutter speeds of like, 1 second?
No I hadn't, just gave it a go and it still doesn't increase how bright it is.

Does the same thing on my Mum's 450D

He's an engineer outside of photography, which is why he can afford all those fresh cams.
so the whole "this website is my sole source of support for my family" bit is a bit? what a little shit!
[QUOTE=Most wanteD;44774668]so the whole "this website is my sole source of support for my family" bit is a bit? what a little shit![/QUOTE]
no he just keeps all the engineer income for himself to buy more cameras

doesn't he live on like an island 250 miles offshore or something
[editline]10th May 2014[/editline]
i guess not
Why do I always want new gear when I know I'm not using my current gear to it's full potential?\

this basically goes against everything I have complained about over the past months in this thread but I want to get rid of all my big fancy dslr stuff and buy a Fuji x100s or something
I feel like my photography is suffering because I don't like bringing my big camera everywhere, I've hardly felt like taking any photos in the past 2 or 3 weeks
but i need it for things like sports and whatnot though
[editline]10th May 2014[/editline]
I want a digi cam I just grab when I'm going out with friends and it's not this massive scary black dslr that dangles around my neck and ruins any candid moments when I point it at someone
I was thinking of picking up a Pentax Q sometime further down the line if I get $200. Anyone have experience with it?
unless you are using it for telephoto primarily i would pass on it. it's got a very tiny sensor (regular compact camera size). the manual controls are excellent, but the image quality is rather meh. the Nikon 1 is a better buy for the price, but even then i would just splurge a little and get a used Nex 3n or RX100.

I really want to get an RX100 but then I gotta save up longer. Darn my impatience.
[editline]10th May 2014[/editline]
and the Q looks so darn cute. But that's probably me just valuing the tinyness and aesthetics of the Q too much
I would definitely save up, you'll get a lot better sensor performance from the RX100. The prices should drop soon as well, there is a 3rd version rumored with a 24-70mm f1.8-2.8 lens, which will cause some to sell their old versions.
The pentax Q looks so cute godamn

I bought a Fuji X100 because of this and I've had loads of fun with it, but I like those kinds of controls so I really suggest just checking out a lot of cameras that are in that range like the Sony RX100 above. I've also heard good things about the Ricoh GR. You could also go for an oldschool rangefinder like a Canonet.

That's the exact reason I want an X100, but I don't have the money for it. Gotta save up a bit!
Whelp.
I bought a Polaroid Land Camera 103.
One of the plastic models but I got it for £16 all in so I'm not fussed.

The handling of the X10 is so fukken nice, I can only imagine how good an X100s must be.
i have an really good condition land camera 1000 in box somewhere here but i haven't bothered to use it, polaroid film is prohibitively expensive

FP-100c is like £11 a pack. So it's like £1 an exposure...
okay, canon 40mm f/2.8 pancake = amazing; it's like another 50 except a tiny (honestly tiny) bit more expensive and stupidly sharp wide open (oh and also basically murders any flare)
and it's tiny
take note, 6d (and other canon full frame) pals
