Got a waterproof point n' shoot camera. Definitely gonna post some shots when I have 'em. :)
Just found an old sd card out of my very first digital camera, god the nostalgia. Found out through the exif data that it was one of these :v:

this, i remember using something super similar to (or, it) it when i was like 6-7
I had one of those really cheap digital camera from around 2003 that had no display other than a small LCD showing how many shots you had left.
i left mine on a rock

guys I think they're multiplying
what do
The filter is nice because I can do DoF stuff in bright daylight, with video. Just sort of fucked up because I should have gotten the 58mm one, not the 52mm. The lens I want in the future is bigger :(

First camera was an LG dare, then the Nex 5 as the first camera specific device
The first thing I ever took 'good' photos on was whatever cell phone I had before the motorola razer. I was even using garage sale cameras as off camera flash.
I even kept all the photos until about a year ago when my ex did unspeakable things to my laptop and ended up destroying the hard drive.
Starist D? idk

Kodak DC200, 1 fucking megapickle.
I took it a part a few years ago to try to convert it to an IR camera and boy do I regret it.
i'm almost certain the disposable cameras i had on my primary 7 end of year trip are still stuffed away in a cupboard somewhere undeveloped

What problems did you have? Would love to do that to my first camera!

If I remember correctly, there was some sort of filter that you have to remove and then replace with bit of film from a floppy disk. The filter or whatever it was is typically attached to the sensor. The sensor being as small as it was, I tried to remove it with pliers and ended up breaking the thing. Come to think of it, the pieces might still be in a drawer around here somewhere...
you can also use a developed piece of film that's completely black

Ah ok, so I just need to be suuuuuper careful. Bahhh threw out a load of old floppy disks the other day.
Wonder if developed lithfilm would work, got plenty of that knocking about.

What's a good beginner zoom lens for my Zenit (M42 mount). I don't mind second hand and I honestly haven't got that much money to spare. Any suggestions?
I should probably clarify - I've got a 58mm lens right now but I find it hard to frame most subjects. I went to a store today and they offered me a 28-75mm f/3.5-4.5 zoom lens (I can't remember the bloody brand though) for about $50. I don't know what to look for in a lens, so I don't want to make a bad decision. 28mm felt pretty well though (they test mounted it for me), but f/3.5 felt a bit too much (especially compared to my fixed zoom Helios which goes down to f/2).
After some searching, I believe this is the same lens as the one they offered me in the store: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Clubman-MC-Auto-Zoom-28-75mm-3-5-4-5-lens-for-M42-fit-/161227880386
Any zoom should be decent on film because of the lower resolution than digital sensors. It would probably be a decent lens, though not spectacular. Wouldn't pay $50 for it though, probably around $15 would be a decent price.
I've heard good things about the Tamron Adaptall series, look for those in the m42 mount (on eBay search m42 Tamron adaptall zoom). The 35-80 Tamron 2.8-3.8 is supposed to be quite good
Also I still want an a7 ;(
I'm a bit limited in options (price/location/lack of products!):
So far I've narrowed it down to:
Sigma Zoom Master 35-70mm f2,8-4 - £40
Vivitar Image 28-70mm f3,9-4,8 - £35
Revuenon f3,5-4,5 28-70mm - £30
Condition is close to excellent on all of them.
Here was my first camera! Logitech ClickSmart 310!

0.3 Megapixels, 2MB of onboard storage, and the most professional stop-motion software my allowance could buy.

The sigma should be the best performer, I would go for that one.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to order it tomorrow.
Cheers! Should be a great lens, mind linking me to the auction so Ivan check it out? Just want to make sure the condition looks good
my very first camera was a 35mm canon point and shoot that i can't find the name of (but i've still got it laying about somewhere)
my second one was this

sweet ass CMOS sensor with a resolution of 352x288, stores 20 full resolution images or 80 lower resolution ones (176x144); has 10fps (!!) continuous shooting mode that can keep shooting for the 80 shots (!!!!)
volatile memory as well, so if the battery dies or you knock the camera too hard and the battery is dislodged for a moment, all your shit gets instantly deleted
