I would go for a different one, the listing you posted mentions a dot of haze which isn't good. It's unlikely to affect photos, but it should be a lot cheaper for having that.
This one says fungus free and is a bit cheaper, might be a better buy

Shipping costs make it equally expensive, but you're probably right.
not entirely sure what my first camera was but thinking about it made me remember the first digital camera i ever used

floppy disks lol
I remember these. Looking back I couldn't figure out why they used floppy disks, 1.4MB of space just didn't seem practical.
My 600D finally arrived!
I remember I had a lil translucent green case camera with a pop up ovf thimgy, similar to what ubernb posted too
so i finally sold my t1i (along with all my lenses) and got a 60d, have had it for a while and the only lens i have is the cheapo canon 50m 1.8 and some shitty second hand sigma that has a broken af motor
i want a new lens that wont cost more than my camera and the 40mm pancake is sexy
how close is 40mm to a not cropped 50 on a crop sensor?
The 40mm on a crop sensor should the roughly like a 60mm on a full frame body.
My first camera was an Olympus C-2100UZ/

2.1 megapixels. Used it from 2005 all the way up until 2011 when I jumped to the D30 and then the T3i in 2013.
Speaking of 'my first camera', i am going to Canada this Sunday and i might want to buy my entry/beginner level camera there since canadian dollars are so low compared to euro's over there.
I am actually looking for something that might both do photo's and filming at a decent enough level. I am starting to travel more and more these days so a good camera to capture everything would be a good move me thinks.
I think i can manage to buy things from amazon over there since a familiy membrr lives close to where i am over there but i'd prefer a retail (Toronto). My budget would be 400 - 500 Dollar, if thats laughable i can up the budget some more if nothing interesting is to be found around that range.

I had a Kodak DC5000 in 2001.
Got these doodads for 3 bucks...anyone have any idea what kind of computers they are?
EDIT: Shit, the image is huge, brb...

EDIT-EDIT: They're apparently XO-1s.
This was my first camera when I was like 6, a Konica Pop EFP-8.

if you want to do video, 600d
though the nikon offerings at that range aren't honestly much worse at video

This was my very first camera that i actually owned. :v:
this was my first digital camera

it used compact flash, and the card we had for it was 152mb

i have some 5 second videos i took on the queen marry as a little kid with this camera
My first camera was a film canon point and shoot. I can't find a picture of it, and I can'T find it either, else I would have taken some pictures of it. I only used it once or twice though because I was very young and film was expensive.
Could someone recommend a lightbox/tent (with lamps) for relatively cheap? It's for taking photos of miniatures so it doesn't have to very big (at least 20x20x20cm).
white shoebox + a few light bulbs?
Right, so I'm looking at a 24mm AI-S lens on eBay and the description mentions some significant coating wear. I'm guessing it'll just be more prone to lens flares and shit?
I'm also trying to decide between a set of As Arris or some LED Panels.
So I took that Trinicon camera out and shot a demo. It produces extremely 80's quality videos.

seeing full frame dslr's in carboot sales for next to nothing - welcome to the future
For anyone that is using a laptop for photo editing... I'm going to be travelling for a long time and I'm looking at buying a laptop so I can edit and post photos while I'm travelling. What are you guys using?
Is it worth going for a laptop with an IPS screen, or is that really only important if you wanted to edit for printing? Would I be able to get away with a 13" Macbook Air?
I'm trying to stay light and only travel with a backpack, so I'd be looking at something ultrabook style, but still powerful enough to edit raw photos and chop up gopro footage without getting excruciatingly slow.

For color correction, an IPS is advantage, but be mindful that it uses a fair bit more power, which might put you off. In my opinion, any laptop will do, as long as the screen is properly calibrated.
