I chose the 600D because it really is not worth it, especially if you are not doing video.
Thats the thing, I recently mentioned it earlier on in this thread that im looking into cameras that are a good balance between photography and video. (my media course will be a mixture of both)
What's the price difference? I would do it if it were £70 or less, the touch screen is easily worth that. The video AF is really poor though
London Drugs had a price difference of $110 or something.
im able to get the 700D off John Lewis with a 13% discount (original price is £579)
Ill have to look into somewhere I can get the 600D, amazon is currently selling it for £390
I'd go with the 600D then, that's a pretty massive price difference
My job at Photojojo gives me access to a drone whenever I want
I made a thing

Borrow lenses is having a used gear sale, there's some decent stuff in it

Found an RX100 used for $290, that's a really good deal. Similar BiN's on eBay are like $400

looking to get a nikon mf portraiture lens
leaning towards the 105mm 2.5 ai-s
anyone got any suggestions or advice?
35mm f/1.8, save a buck or two and have auto focus when you need it.
If not pick up some old AI 50mm, 105mm on a crop is pretty tele for portraits, unless you got a big wide open field or something.
I've got a 135/2.8 which is for sale, it's AI mount look in the for sale thread for more info, here is a link to some images shot with it.

Yo, guys. I have the Canon 50mm 1.8 lens and for the price it's really good, but over the month, that I've used it, the front element got kinda wobbly. Is there some sort of home fix you can do without taking the thing apart?
I've got a 135/2.8 which is for sale
I can vouch for this, 135mm mini-tele lenzes are great! especially a f/2.8 which is the fastest 135mm mini-tele you can get
im gonna make an program that does that nashika thing w/ a video stream

although obviously id have to find somewhere to get it converted
Theres no chance of getting them converted nowadays, this one has the proper nikon conversion, not some tool shed hack job
alright dude but i think i'm gonna go for a 105 2.5 thanks though

Personally I would recommend a Nikon 85mm f2 or f1.8, they should be a bit easier perspective to work with on APS-C cameras. They run a bit more, but imo they are worth it.
At the very least it's worth looking into, I find anything longer than a 135mm equivalent to be a bit difficult to work with
it's for a 35mm
[editline]28th June 2014[/editline]
i guess it's possible that ill be putting it on my crop sensor at some point but i havent touched my dslr since i started shooting film
Ah okay, then the 105mm would be good then, you shouldn't have issues.
Probably going to order my camera/lenses tomorrow, super excited :D
First I had one.....

Now I have two CCD-V5000's. Now I can start experimenting with 3D videos.
android 5 to have:
4k 30fps (or more, can now use full resolution of sensor at once)
hdr video (at 15fps)
raw support
full manual
i hope this means android is finally gonna exceed ios in photo
iOS' API is still ahead of android's afaik.
I've seen similar rumors about iOS in regards to raw support and full manual. They'll always be competitive. And at any given time, the best phone camera will probably be the one belonging to the newest flagship phone.
It is exciting, though. I saw one of the recent demos and it reminded me of Red's fancy multi-iso hdr blending tech. Imagine that, one day a cell phone rivaling the photographic capability of today's Red epic/dragon/whatever.
